From the internationally bestselling author of The Simple
Wild comes the continuation of a woman’s journey to the Alaskan wild and a life
she never imagined for herself.
Calla Fletcher returns to Toronto a different person,
struggling to find direction and still very much in love with the rugged bush
pilot she left behind. So, when Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a
proposition she can’t dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to
begin their exciting future together.
But Calla soon learns that even the best of intentions don’t
always lead to the intended outcomes, and that compromise comes with a hefty
price tag—and a log cabin in rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the
Western tundra.
With Jonah gone more than he’s home, one neighbor who
insists on transforming her into a true Alaskan, and another who seems more
likely to shoot her than come to her aid, Calla grapples with forging her own
path. In a world where with roaming wildlife and harsh environmental
challenges, just stepping foot outside her front door becomes daunting some
days.
Leaving her to wonder if perhaps she is doomed to follow in
her mother’s fleeing footsteps after all.
Oh wow!! Truly amazing!!
The Simple Wild, book 1 to Wild at Heart, was an emotional
and just overall phenomenal book. It left us at the end wanting so much
more...HOPES of a romance between two characters that you loved to watch argue
and then loved to see them explode off the page with their intense chemistry.
And then VOILA!! KA Tucker gives us the best thing ever..the
sequel to The Simple Wild..
AHHH!!!
Wild at Heart picks up right where we leave Calla and Jonah
the end of The Simple Wild. We are over the moon happy because they literally
can't live without each other..
I cannot tell you how many times I die from swoon in this
book. Jonah has completely captured my heart and I am going to go on record now
and say that he is my favorite book boyfriend from KA Tucker.. Gah... I just
want to reread and reread this book just so I can keep reading about
him...*swoons*
But don't mistake me here. I love Calla too! She changes so
much throughout this book and I enjoyed seeing each moment bring her in to her
own.
The relationship with her and Jonah is truly magical. While
it is so real, it is also so full of love and thoughtfulness. Yes, there are
mistakes made, misunderstandings, but what relationship doesn't have those??
And the way KA Tucker writes, I could FEEL every emotion. I
swear it was just bleeding off the pages and straight in to my heart.
Although Jonah and Calla are the focus of the story, we get
to meet some amazing new characters that add so much spice, as well as, revisit
with old friends that captured our hearts from The Simple Wild.
Just a brilliantly beautiful love story that will span the
ages of time!!
A true MUST READ!!
