HOLY CRAP this book is FANTASTIC!! I was sucked in from the very
beginning and could not put it down. I was so mesmerized with the world
and characters that Kimberly Derting created in The Pledge. Everything
moved smoothly and questions were answered at exactly the right time
while still leaving you with intrigue as what is going to happen next...
I enjoyed meeting Charlaina and all of her family, even her little sister Angelina. Living in a world where a class system rules and language is a huge barrier that shows the differences between those classes, each class knows their own language and none above their class... But what happens when there is a secret the Charlaina(Charlie) and her family knows that can change everything? What happens when the mysterious handsome stranger, Max, comes in to Charlie's life and makes her question all of her self imposed restrictions?
The Pledge captures your breath from page 1 and throughout the whole book you are holding it, scared to release one wisp of air because the air is so thick with anticipation of what is to come!! A definite MUST READ!!
