Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires #6) by Chloe Neill

Biting Cold is for Adult 18+ Readers

Turned into a vampire against her will, twenty-eight-year-old Merit found her way into the dark circle of Chicago’s vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye—and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined. And not all the secrets she learned were for sharing—among humans or inhumans.
Now Merit is on the hunt, charging across the stark American Midwest, tailing a rogue supernatural intent on stealing an ancient artifact that could unleash catastrophic evil on the world. But Merit is also the prey. An enemy of Chicagoland is hunting her, and he’ll stop at nothing to get the book for himself. No mercy allowed. No rules apply. No lives spared. The race is on.

Chloe Neill is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the
Chicagoland Vampires and Dark Elite series.
She was born and raised in the South, but now makes her home in the Midwest–just close enough to Cadogan House and St. Sophia’s to keep an eye on things. When not transcribing Merit’s and Lily’s adventures, she bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes and great graphic design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending time with her boys–her favorite landscape photographer/husband and their dogs, Baxter and Scout. (Both she and the photographer understand the dogs are in charge.)
Chloe is represented by Lucienne Diver of The Knight Agency.
Chloe is a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America.

Kathryn's Review of Biting Cold
Biting Cold is book 6 in the Chicagoland Vampires series and after book 5, Drink Deep, I was so eager for this to come out and get back to the Merit and Ethan situation.
But, before we could really tackle what we really wanted to see, Merit and Ethan had to deal with business.  Whether it was the friend gone crazy on magic, the new scenario dealing with Tate, or all of the Cadogan House problems, these things had to be addressed and that left me going crazy for Ethan and Merit.
Don't get me wrong, it was a good crazy because Chloe Neill can keep you glued to each page with the action and suspense of these characters.  After the dark and gloomy we dealt with in Drink Deep, this book is much more lighter and gave us the introduction of new sups giving the story a refreshing twist that I wasn't expecting.  Intriguing interactions and surprise outcomes kept me thinking about this book even days after I have finished it.  So, once I started Biting Cold, I knew I wasn't going to put it down and now that it is over.... Ahhhhh..... So glad to have Merit and Ethan back in my life, but sad that I now have to wait for House Rules to come out for another fix.
I truly loved this book and it is probably safe to say that it is one of my faves in the whole series.
And let me say...Chicagoland Vamps is a fantastic series, that with each book, I am totally enthralled, mesmerized by the lives of some of my favorite vamps out there.
With a story full of action, suspense, and romance....that keeps you glued to your seat with anticipation....this series, THIS BOOK, is a definite must read!!!

I give Biting Cold:
