BLOG TOUR: The Mephisto Kiss by Trinity Faegan

The eyes never lie. No one’s eyes are darker than Eryx. Noteven the Devil’s.
When Jax and Sasha first see Jordan Ellis, they know she isno ordinary teenager. She’s the daughter of the President after all, but she’salso Anabo – a descendant of Eve.
What they don’t know is that Eryx plans to kidnap Jordan andforce President Ellis to pledge his soul. If Eryx’s plot succeeds, theconsequences would be catastrophic.
But the Mephisto brothers do know about Jordan’s secretidentity. And for one of them, she could be the match that leads to theirsoul’s salvation.
Now it’s a desperate race against time to save Jordan andprevent Eryx’s haunting eyes from discovering her true identity.
A thrilling story of romance, danger, and intrigue, THEMEPHISTO KISS continues the marvelous mythology that began in THE MEPHISTOCOVENANT.

Before Eryx couldrespond, a guy with midnight hair, dressed all in black, appeared just behindhim. This brother had a scruff beard and rage on his striking face. He neverspoke, didn’t make a sound, but she could tell Eryx knew he was there. Heturned just as the new guy charged at him, and Jordan saw the glint of steel thatcaught the sunbeams knifing through the forest canopy, watched with morbidfascination when the Mephisto plunged his blade straight into Eryx’s heart.

He shoved Eryx’slimp body to the ground, then bent to wipe his dagger clean on Eryx’s trousers. After he slipped it into a strap on his boot, he stood straight and looked upat her. “Let’s go.”

She was so readyto be gone, in her haste to climb down she slipped on a frozen limb, crashedthrough branches and twigs, and fell the last ten feet. He easily caught her instrong, sure arms, then looked down into her eyes. “Bad day?”

In spite of itall, maybe because her relief was so enormous, she smiled.

He didn’t smile, butnodded and said, “I’m Phoenix. It’s nice to meet you, Jordan.”

Everything wentdark. She had that same sensation of weightlessness, then ten seconds later, hewas setting her on her feet. He stepped back and said solemnly, “Welcome to theMephisto house.”

She looked aroundquickly, astonished by the beauty of the circular grand hall. She’d been insidepalaces that weren’t this amazing. Rosewood and gilt, life-size portraits, andacres of white marble interrupted only by an ornate inlaid onyx M and the bottom step of a grandstaircase. The domed ceiling was at least three stories above them, paintedwith angels and clouds. She took it all in within a few seconds. “Where in Colorado are we?”

“The San Juan Mountains, about ten miles from Telluride.” He turned and nodded toward the stairs. “Comewith me to see Key.”

She walked besidehim up the steps, then through winding wide corridors lined with masterpieces, lit by candles in sconces. “Why candles? Eryx has oil lanterns. Is theresomething about lightbulbs you guys don’t like?”

“Our eyes aremore sensitive to light than ordinary people.” He glanced down at her. “But wealso prefer the old ways of doing certain things.”

They passedseveral doors, then he stopped in front of one and reached for the knob.“Prepare yourself, Jordan.”

“For what?”

“To meet mybrothers. They can be . . . intense.” With that, he swung the door open andwaited for her to step inside the room.

I first want to say that when I read book 1, The Mephisto Covenant, that I was completely blown away with the world that Trinity Faegan had created.  Totally enraptured that it stuck with me for days and all I could think about was when would the next book be out to satisfy my need for this fabulous series....
Well, now here is book 2, The Mephisto Kiss, and WHAM...totally captivated and still reeling from the wonderful world that is contained in the pages of this book.
I need to admit that when I saw that The Mephisto Kiss was not from Jax and Sasha's POV, I was a little nervous...I really LOVED Jax and Sasha!! But, of course, Trinity being the wonderful writer that she is, introduced me to Jordan and I immediately connected with her.  She is spunky, smart, caring, and just overall, the type of girl everyone loves.  Which makes total sense when Key comes in to the picture.  The oldest brother of the Mephistos, who has resigned himself to being the loner, leader, always looking out for the others.
How will these two opposites come together?  Will they work??
And, how does this all tie together?
Ah yes, the fallen brother of them all....Eryx.  The one guy that feels he is entitled to so much more and wants the power to to rule it all too!
So, with the ever ensuing battle to defeat and stop their brother Eryx, the Mephistos are thrown back in to non-stop turmoil, with lots of action, a budding romance between the stubborn leader Key and the bright star Jordan, and even more twists and turns to have you glued to your seat until you reach the final page. And, BOY, does it end with a bang!!  WHOA!!!
I am downright, utterly enthralled with this series.  Each book is wonderfully written, with a great mixture of characters that you are immediately drawn to, and just a superb creative world that you LOVE getting lost in.
I HIGHLY recommend that if you haven't started this series, GO NOW!!  Get these books and fall in to the mystical, intriguing world of The Mephistos.
