COVER REVEAL: Moon Spell by Samantha Young

Hey all our moonlighting friends- you early birds too. We're here to share a special reveal for one of our favorite author friends, Samantha Young.
Along with the AMAZING Claudia McKinney at Phatpuppy Art, Sam has done a cover revamp on her debut  Lunarmorte trilogy books to usher them into the newer YA/New Adult genre. We're all hoping this- and Sam's new NYTB (New York Times Bestseller) status makes the books a bit more appealing and accessible to the more mature Young Adult reader.
This series is extra special to us as they were Shelley's introduction to Sam when they were originally released. They started talking on Facebook and Goodreads and became fast friends. Kathryn fell into Sam's newer works through Shelley and all of her constant taunting... "Have you read _____ yet?" "You gotta check out this one." "Why haven't you started...?" "Dude! That's my absolute FAVE!" "You need to read these RIGHT NOW!" LOL. You get the picture.
So anyway...Kathryn gave in and  quickly discovered she must read "all things Sam" as well. Soon after reading her Warriors of Ankh and Fire Spirits series, we started a Goodreads group for the blog. The first thing we wanted to do as a group was a reading challenge, and since the Lunarmorte trilogy was all that Kathryn hadn't gotten her nose in yet, we thought it would be great choice. Centered on werewolves, magic, and romance, and not too long. It turned out to be the PERFECT choice.
We just ended that challenge at the end of November and the resounding response was...THE LUNARMORTE TRILOGY IS PHENOM!!! Everyone loved it. They loved the characters, the world building, the mythology, and Sam's beautiful writing style. In short, they devoured each book. We couldn't have been more thrilled.
To say we LOVE this saga is an understatement. And we take every chance we get to share and praise it.
Today is no exception. So, without further ado, we reveal to you the first in the trilogy, Moon Spell in it's GORGEOUS new package.
If you haven't yet met Caia and Lucien, we HIGHLY encourage you to do so.  If you have, take advantage of the makeovers and start your Samantha Young print collection.

Soooo....without further adieu...The NEW and ALLURING cover of Moon Spell...

The cover redesign is by Phatpuppy Art

It’s bad enough feeling different among the human crowd, but feeling different among wolves?

No one said returning to her pack would be easy, especially after ten years without them, but seventeen year old Caia Ribeiro is unprepared for the realities of the transition. Raised in a world where kids aren’t scared by bedtime tales of the bogeyman but by the real life threat of enemy supernaturals who might come creeping into their community to kill them in their sleep, Caia is used to the darkness; she’s used to the mystery and the intrigue of the ancient underworld war she’s bound to by chance of birth. What she’s having trouble with are pack members treating her with wary suspicion, the Elders tucking secrets behind their backs out of her sightline, and her young Alpha, Lucien, distracting her, with a dangerous attraction, from her decision to discover the truth.

But as the saying goes ‘the truth will out’ and when it does, Caia will only have so long to prepare herself before the war comes pounding on their door threatening to destroy the safe, secret lives of the wolves… and the girl they protect.

Sam is a 26 year old Scottish book addict and she graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2009. She studied ancient and medieval history at uni, and it was in her first year there, in the middle of a classical literature lecture, that she first came up with the idea for The Tale of Lunarmorte. She's been writing since as long as she can remember, and she has a particular interest in the paranormal, fantasy and dystopian genres.
She loves pulling pieces of historical fact (or mythology) and twisting it to fit her stories, and she is more than thankful that her degree is being put to good use in her writing.
She began self-publishing in 2011 and now writes full time.  When she's not writing, she's usually thinking about writing or thinking about thinking about writing.
