BLOG TOUR: Blood Rule by Heather Hildenbrand

Hi everyone...I hope you are enjoying our stop for the Blood Rule Blog tour...I am definitely excited to be a part of it and so happy to introduce you to the fabulous Heather Hildenbrand.  And, what better way to get to know her than through a little Q & A...
So, check out the interview we did with Heather....
TSK TSK: Hi Heather, so tell us...What does your daily routine consist of when writing? Heather: Summer is difficult with the kids home. It's sort of a write-between-moments-of-chaos schedule. During the school year is much easier to manage. I wrote for most of the school day and then hang with my kids once they get home.

TSK TSK:  Do you do lots of research when you are writing?
Heather: Not unless I have to. That sounds really lazy, doesn't it? Yeah, it is. I am. I don't like to research a lot of details. I like to just write. Maybe that's why I write fantasy and paranormal. You can make the rules as you go.

TSK TSK:  What types of things do you do for fun?
Heather: Motorcycles! I own a CBR 250 and love riding every chance I get. I also have a dirtbike and love riding it and four-wheelers in the mud. Yes, I like to get dirty. I also live near the beach and the pool and if I'm not riding motorcycles, you can probably find me at one of those two places.

TSK TSK:   Is there a playlist with your books?
Heather:  Yes, check Spotify. They're under the book title and are always eclectic enough there should be something for everyone. The current adult contemporary I'm working on has everything from country to John Legend!

TSK TSK:  What is your favorite food?
Heather:  Mexican. And I've recently discovered a place that puts french fries in their burritos! #heaveninmymouth
Kat: Mmmmm....mine too!!
TSK TSK:   Is there a character in your book that you just love??
Heather: I love all my characters, but yeah, of course I have favorites. (Geez, this feels wrong. Like a mom admitting she has a favorite child.) But I love Ven from Imitation. And I love Whisper. They are my favorite MC's. As for the guys, HOW CAN I CHOOSE???

TSK TSK: What about one that you just hate?
Heather: Oh yeah, I hate Leo from Dirty Blood and Titus Rogen from Imitation. #meanies

TSK TSK:  Is there anywhere you are dying to travel to?
Heather: Colorado!!! And I'm going in September, so that's really all I can think about when you say the word "Travel."

TSK TSK:  Who would you say are your biggest influences on your writing?
Heather: Nora Roberts. I read a lot of her and Danielle Steele when I first started reading adult romance. And Richelle Mead and Cassie Clare for the paranormal stuff. and of course, my dear friends, Angeline Kace and Jennifer Sommersby are always shaping my words into something better.

TSK TSK:  If there was one person you could meet, alive or dead, who would that be and why?

Heather: Thomas Edison. I really want to understand the brain of someone who persevered so long with something everyone said was so impossible. That's amazing to me. #pursueyourdreamspersistently

Kat:  Aren't those just awesome answers??  She is truly wonderful and I thank Heather so much for taking time out of her busy schedule to answer our questions!!
Ok...Make sure you scroll down and get all the info on this book and enter the giveaway!!

Blood Rule by Heather Hildenbrand
The Dirty Blood Series, #4
Accendo Press - August 2013

BOOK SUMMARY:
Forty-six.
That’s how many hybrids survived the Hunter attack in the woods after I revived them with an injection of my blood. That’s how many followed me home to Frederick Falls. And that’s how many were now mentally linked to me through a blood bond.
Two days. Three valium. Fourteen hours of sleep.
That’s what it took to realize I wasn’t losing my mind as a result of the noise in my own head.
Sixteen.
That’s how many days have passed since I almost killed Alex. That’s how many days I’ve sat by his bedside, waiting for him to wake up. To ease the guilt, to understand his betrayal, to remember the exact shade of brown in his eyes.
Zero.
That’s my chances of skating by with Gordon Steppe and the Hunter Council. They want me for questioning. I’m afraid what’ll happen if I give them answers.

Heather Hildenbrand was born and raised in a small town in northern Virginia where she was homeschooled through high school. She now lives in coastal VA, a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, with her two adorable children. She works from home, part time, as a property manager and when she's not furiously pounding at the keyboard, or staring off into space whilst plotting a new story, she's lying on the beach, soaking in those delicious, pre-cancerous rays.
Heather loves Mexican food, hates socks with sandals, and if her house was on fire, the one thing she'd grab is her DVR player.
Heather is a co-founder of Accendo Press, a publishing group she operates with fellow authors: Angeline Kace and Jennifer Sommersby. Accendo (a-CH-endo), A Latin word, means “to kindle, illuminate, inflame, or set fire.” This is something Accendo strives to do inside a reader’s imagination with every title released.
