OH MY!! I am still reeling from this one. I literally sat down, started this book, and
did not get up until I was finished. I
was so immersed in this book that I couldn't tell you anything that was happening
in my household during that time.
I was so excited to be able to read Foreplay as an ARC…and knew
it was going to be good b/c Sophie Jordan’s YA series, Firelight, is
awesome. But I had no idea it was going
to completely enrapture me…I mean, I am so overwhelmed with how phenomenal this
book is that I don’t know if I will truly be able to relay all of my emotions
to you… But, I am going to try my best….
Sophie Jordan is a brilliantly, talented writer. Within the pages of this book, she eases you
through each detail and moment with such finesse that you can SEE and FEEL
everything going on. Your body is
completely taken over…all your senses completely inhibited as you plunge in to
the tale laid out in front of you. And
thank goodness for all of that, because as you read and that moment when Pepper
meets the HOT, SEXY bartender, Reece…I WAS BREATHLESS!!! This guy just oozes sex appeal right out from
the pages…It was so much that you find yourself falling deeper and deeper in to
the chemistry that is exploding between Pepper and Reece. Licking your lips, waiting for those chance
encounters…and yes the planned ones too…OH LORDY!! Have you noticed that I have
a new book boyfriend??!!! WHEW!!! *fanning self* Ok…need to get to the heart of
the story now….
Obviously the explosive attraction between these two is
amazing…but it isn't the full story. The
best thing about Foreplay is it is not your typical boy meets girl…boys tries to
wooo girl…Nope..this one is entirely different…AND I LOVED IT!!!!
It was refreshing and enticing…Every moment you are
enraptured with what was going on and hoping at all costs it turns out the way
you want. From moments of screaming at
Pepper for thinking certain thoughts or chastising her for decisions she made
solely based on a haunted past that controlled her. But, those twists in this captivating tale
keep you in knots, desiring that end result of the warm fuzzy, tingly feelings
we all so love to have!!!
Foreplay is a slow seduction, tempting you with the alluring
words of love, romance, and steamy passion.
