Kat here guys and SQUEEE!!!! I am sooooo excited right now...You guys, I have Theo with me on the blog today...answering some of my questions...Ahhhhhh!!!!!

So, everyone, I would like you to meet Theo Ramsey, from Lightning in my Wake by the fabulous Lila Felix...

First, welcome Theo and could you tell us a little about yourself...you know, where you
are from, that sort of stuff??

Theo: I’m originally from North Carolina, but we moved to Louisiana when I was a toddler. Louisiana is Lucent heaven.
Kat: ok..on to the good stuff...what was your favorite game to play as a child? 

Theo: Checkers.
Kat:  Checkers is a timeless awesome game!! Where is one place you love to travel to and why?

Theo: I love Australia and Costa Rica. Colby loves Hawaii.
Kat:  Ahhhh....I love Costa Rica!! Sucha beautiful place!! What type of music do you like?  Favorite song at the moment?

Theo: I’m all about the Oldies. Right now, Candy Man by Roy Orbison.

Kat:  Mmm...good music there...What is your greatest fear?

Theo: Now if I told you that, it would ruin the book, wouldn’t it?

Kat:  Pfftt...ok...Lets find out what is something that completely irritates you about Colby?

Theo: She can’t keep her mouth shut for one single second.
Kat:  What do you love most about Colby?

Theo:  She talks too much. It’s a double-edged sword.
Kat:  HA!! that isn't confusing much...What do you like to do for fun?

Theo: Flash to the top of a mountain and scream.
Kat:  I would love to be able to do that myself at times...What is one thing you regret?

Theo: I regret not being able to travel with Colby when we were kids.
Kat:  Awww...and If you could travel back in time, what would you change if you could? Theo:  I’d go back and see Eivan, beg him to do the right thing, no matter how much it hurt. Because when he didn’t, his actions rippled through our entire species.
Kat: *sighs* that is a huge event that would have made a major impact...Ok...lighter note...What is your favorite book and why this book? 

Theo: Right now, Colby is making me read The Bell Jar. So, if she asks, tell her I said that. But I’m more of a Dystopian fan.
Kat:  Oooohhh...I love Dystopians!! So, do you have any words of wisdom live by?

Theo: I’m an ‘you are what you put out into the universe’ person. If you speak it, think it, say it, then it becomes action and future. So think, say and put out positive things. Cheesy, right?
Kat:  Absolutely not!! I agree wholeheartedly!! Fantastic words to live by!! Now, how about some easy questions of your favorites:
Favorite---
color? Gray
car? Infiniti QX80, but cars, schmars, who need a car when you can flash!
food? Burgers, hands down. animal? Turtle? I don’t know.
flower? Roses, those are Colby’s favorite.
sport? Soccer, or as the rest of the world calls it, Football.
holiday? Xoanna’s birthday. We all celebrate that. After all, she’s the reason we can flash.

Kat: SAHWEET!!! Man, this was fabulous and I hope that you enjoyed getting to know Theo a little bit.  BUT...if you want to know more about this fabulous guy...make sure you read Lightning in my Wake right now!!!

 I am a stay at home mom from the South and wife to the most giving and hard working husband ever.  I love to cook and try out new recipes even if they don't always turn out like I want them to.  I refer to my kids lovingly as the Three Stooges as they are constantly coming up with new ways to reek havoc in the house.  Most recently that included putting a rubberband on the kitchen sink sprayer so it would douse me when I did the dishes.  I love to go to roller derby bouts and read in my spare time.  I write mostly at night when the house is silent and I can sneak cookies without having to share!  If you're into stalking, try under the Cypress trees in the swamps of Louisiana, but watch out for gators!!

 Lila Felix has blown me away...With Lightning in my Wake, she has created a unique, intriguing world that draws the reader in to the complex and dynamic storyline featuring some fascinating characters.
We begin by meeting Colby Evans.  She calls herself a flasher and when I first read it, I died laughing.  Of course it isn't the type of flasher that you are thinking about right now, but she has the ability to flash from one place to another like lightning.  What an awesome power to have!! I would soooo die to have it...My commutes would be so much better as well as being about to travel anywhere in the world any time I please?? OH YES!!!
But, this isn't all that is so great about her...She is one spunky woman...I absolutely love her strength, her huge heart, her sass, her humor, and her vulnerability.  She is a force to be reckoned with and I adored reading about her...
But it was the compelling relationship with Theo that kept me glued to the pages.  When you meet him, be ready ladies...this guy is remarkable.  He captured my heart immediately and that was just after reading his email to Colby.  OMG!! I knew right away he was going to a heart-stopper...And boy was her ever...
And these two together?? Be still my beating heart...The sparks flew off the pages and the chemistry was explosive...Two souls couldn't have been more perfect for each other yet they were so different.  They complimented each other and provided the ideal relationship of compromise that so many people need.
*sighs*
So, while I was awing over these two, the plot thickened and the events unfolded to prepare me for a tale of brilliance.  Stimulated by the action of what Theo and Colby are enduring; I was biting my nails at the suspenseful scenes laid before me.  Hard decisions were placed in the hands of these two and my heart ached at what I saw coming...
AND THEN...oh yes...it happened...an interesting twist to the ending that has now left me eagerly awaiting the release of book 2...*cries hysterically*
Go get this book...seriously...absolute LOVE for this book...
