Cory James has never known a life where she wasn’t running. Running from the cops, her home, her past. Running from love. The only time she’s free is when she throws on her hood and takes to the roofs to become a part of New York, to climb to a place in the city where she doesn’t feel alone.
Stealing is nothing, lying inevitable, byproducts of survival. A way for Cory to provide for herself and for her younger sister, Jill, give her the life Cory couldn’t have. For five years, Cory set up a long line of teetering dominos, one by one, choice by choice.
Meeting Van is the first domino to fall, and once they crash into each other, it’s only a matter of time before her whole world is in danger of falling apart. She can tell herself over and again that she doesn’t care, but it’s a lie. She knows it from the first time she says his name, but she can’t let him in, not when she has a job to do, a job that could rip her life apart at the seams. One that she’ll have to betray Van to finish.
He’ll follow however high she can climb, but she can only run for so long before she has to choose.

HARDCORE is one of the most effed up stories I've ever read. And it was absolutely beautiful. I loved every moment of it. Those 80 pages gave me everything I crave. It broadened my horizons, fed my imagination, and thrilled me to the core. I found a kindred spirit, a super sexy antihero, and a plot so twisted my sickeningly romantic heart was torn from my chest, stomped on and filleted, stomped again into the greasy pavement and left bleeding out... and I'm dying for more.
I fell hard for both Cory and Van. Each has something that just radiates with me. Cory has such a clear, raw, authentic voice, I couldn't help but immediately connect with her. I felt every thought, every emotion, as if it were my own. I wanted nothing more than for her to walk away from her current life and run off into the sunset with her perfect match. Van is absolutely it. I don't care what happens next. They MUST end up together. This man is perfection. Sex on legs. All that and a bag of chips. Whip cream and extra cherries on top. Oh, yes, he is F.I.N.E.
BUT, as you can guess, things are complicated and it's not gonna get better anytime soon. Slide in, jump up, and hold on. HARDCORE is one helluva ride. Staci Hart doesn't hold back and that's what makes this story so fabulous and fresh. She's officially found her niche. Trust me when I say, HARDCORE will send your adrenaline sky high, have your face flushing, and your ladybits on fire, and your soul thirsting for a HEA. But more than anything, it will leave you begging for MORE.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.
From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, cleaning, or designing graphics.
