The Amethyst Dragon series by D.C. Grace #interview

Heads up and check this out.

D.C. Grace, the brilliant mind behind the phenomenal Amethyst Dragon trilogy, is here to share a bit of "art imitating life" with a VERY special interview.
We all know that many writers find inspiration from real life experiences and the people that have influenced or impacted their lives in some way. So today, we're finding out just who inspired one of our favorite characters from The Amethyst Dragon series- AND we're giving YOU the insider's exclusive to one incredible story of true love. A story to withstand the tests of time.
Who is this mystery man? And who did he inspire? Well, we wanted to know this and all the juicy bits, SO, as the inquiring minds that we are, we asked, and D.C. dished.
Sit back and get ready to see how their real life story unfolds and gave birth to the most amazing characters and an unforgettable and magical journey...

Tsk, Tsk: Thanks so much for joining us, D.C.. It's always a pleasure to host you, but today is really special, and we're excited to be able to share something so personal and well, inspiring, with our readers.
So let's get right down to it, shall we?
DC: Ready when you are!
T: Well, first, for any new followers, please tell us a bit about the series. Where did the idea for The Amethyst Dragon come from?
DC: The idea actually came from some artwork in a pack of faery cards. The imagery inspired the character we now know as Tryamon, and everything fell into place from there.
The Amethyst Dragon series is about Dade Blue-Therror, Prince of the Seelie Court, and his rise to the throne with his mortal Chuisle, Shelby.
T: Who IS our Mystery Man? And who did he inspire?
DC: So yea, the "mystery man" is Craig, who actually inspired the character of Marshall... and is now my boyfriend. *insert cheesy grin here*
Craig aka "D.C.'s Marshall"

"Our Marshall"

T: Was Marshall a central character from the beginning?
DC: Yes, I knew early on that Marshall was both central and vital to the series plotline.
T: Is Craig the best parts of Marshall, or does he embody the whole of Marshall's character?
DC: Oh, tough question! Actually, Marshall reflects the best of Craig. When I created Marshall, I gave him Craig's moral fiber and character. In high school, Craig was the embodiment of the "all-American football hero". He was an all-around good guy, and that's who Marshall needed to be. It was very easy to carry over to our now beloved hero.
T: How did you meet? Was it love at first sight?
DC: We actually met in kindergarten. I only really loved Donny Osmond and Barbies then. Hahaha! But in middle and high school, yes, I had a crush.
T: How incredibly sweet. He obviously made a lasting impression. And now several years later... Craig has been immortalized in one of our absolute favorite of your characters. Does he know? And what does he think about it all?
DC: Yes, he knows, though I didn't tell him at first. That's not exactly first date conversation - hey, I created a character based on you in my series. Can you pass the salt? Hahaha!
Seriously, though, Craig is an incredibly humble man. He was very shocked and flattered. And now... wait for it... he's a big Marshall fan!
T: Just slightly awkward. He should be flattered. Really, how could he not be a Marshall fan? He's straight up AWESOMESAUCE!
*ok fangirling over*
And now you've found each other again? How did that happen?
DC: Yes, after all these years, the power of social media brought us together. Thank you, Facebook!
We were friends on Facebook for awhile, but then one day we just started talking, and it grew from there.
*Awwww!!!*
T:
Does it seem weird or awkward to be in a relationship with someone that was so instrumental in completing your fantasy world?
DC: Loaded question, haha! No, it really isn't. In all honesty, at first I was nervous. I mean, this was before he knew. But then I got to know him, and everything I knew and/or thought I knew about Craig that went into the character of Marshall was/is true. How can you not love a man like that?
T: How indeed. *we feel another SWOON coming on*
Does it ever feel like your living the fantasy?
DC: It's pretty easy to separate fact from fiction. Craig is real. Marshall is just a compilation of memories and imaginings I had of him years ago. But I'll say this - it's easy to pull the fantasy card if I want to! Hahaha!
T: Ha! Tricky, tricky. Most people know we're all friends, and of course we chat, so Craig has been mentioned a time or two in our conversations... as a friend and great companion. When did you discover he was so much more? *eyebrow wagging*
DC: That's a story I'm keeping to myself... though it may turn up in my next book. Time will tell...
T: Well played... Name one thing you love about both Craig and Marshall (they can be two separate)...
DC: That's easy. It's a character trait they both share - devotion. They're both devoted to the people they love, and will go to any lengths to protect and take care of them.
*Awwww!!!*
T:
What is something that bugs you about both? (:
DC: See, now you're just trying to get me in trouble! Hahaha! But again, it's a shared trait - they don't give themselves enough credit.
T: We do our best. Haha! *cheeky grins* And again with the humble. Gotta love that.
Did your love influence how Marshall's life was to be carried out? Were there events that sparked a shift in direction, or was his path clear all along?
DC: First, let me say no, I wasn't Shelby to his Marshall in high school, haha! I was fond of Craig when I wrote the books - that deepened during the creation of the last book, but it didn't change the character's course. I knew what I wanted for Marshall from the beginning. And without giving spoilers for the last book, I knew ultimately only his shoulders could carry the burden in store. Marshall's based on a very strong, intense man!
T: Has Craig read all the books? And is he a fan?
DC: Craig actually went back into Dragon Wings after I told him about Marshall, and started rereading all "his" parts! Hahaha! I love it. And he is without a doubt my biggest supporter.
T: That is so cool and funny. What a wonderful feeling to know you have the full support of those you care about the most.
The Amethyst Dragon trilogy is elegant and intricate. Was it difficult wrapping up the series, or did everything go as planned?
DC: The hardest thing I've ever done was write "the end" at Faery Rings conclusion. Everything fell into place, but it was hard to say goodbye. Of course, we'll still see key players, including Marshall, in The Legacy Chronicles!
*Shelley sobs*
T:
Has any part of the story changed how your view your life or your future?
DC: Writing is very therapeutic. In creating Dade's wisdom and views on life, yes, I was also reinforcing my own. My future? Craig's changing that.
T: Pretty profound thoughts.
For those that haven't comsumed it yet, what can the reader expect from the third and final book of The Amethyst Dragon trilogy?
DC: Expect the unexpected. I promise all the loose ends will be tied up and all questions will be answered. We even revisit some blasts from the past, so to speak! But no, you won't expect what I have in store for them. *evil author grin*
T: And speaking of the final book - FAERY RINGS, just released this month. We've, of course, already devoured it. It was beautiful and somewhat bittersweet. And frankly, we aren't ready to say goodbye to these characters and the fabulous world you created. What do your fans have to look forward to? Is this really the end?
DC: This is not the end! The legend will continue this winter with a four book series, The Legacy Chronicles! The next generation of dragon Fae come of age, alongside everyone's favorite Amethyst Dragon characters.
T: Anything else you would like to share?
DC: Just to say I hope everyone enjoys Faery Rings, and that everyone gets a little something they were hoping for in its pages.
And yes, sometimes faery tales do come true!
T: Thank you so much for giving us this treat. *holds hand to ear* Can you hear all the girls swooning? Readers, could you love Marshall and this story anymore? We think not. Get out and grab the books and be ready to be swept away. This is a tale for the ages. Truly very special. And one we'll never forget.

BLOG TOUR: Girl in Love by Caisey Quinn #KylieRyansSeries

You guys!!! I am giddy beyond belief! Why, you may ask? OMFG! I can't even believe it myself. Y'all know what a big fan I am of Caisey Quinn, right?! I adore her Kylie Ryans series. I fell head over heels for both Kylie and Trace. And now, the third and final installment has been released. Of course I devoured it. For a few short hours, I was consumed. Needless to say, I LOVED every single moment. It was bittersweet as I didn't want to say goodbye to one of my favorite couples EVER. Still, I seriously cannot wait for you to read it too so you can bite your nails-pull your hair-scream and shout-ooh and awe-and SWOON. GIRL in LOVE is a rollercoaster ride you never want to end. But let me get back on to why you stopped by today...
So- obviously we're here to celebrate GIRL in LOVE's release and all things Kylie and Trace, but just what has me so super excited!?!? I got to interview my favorite cowgirl/superstar author- Caisey Quinn. That's right! *squeeeee!* Caisey was kind enough to indulge my nosiness. Let me tell you, she was such a good sport. Luckily- for her- this was all through email so she didn't really have to endure my random fangirl squeals and moments of awed and stunned silence. Anyway...here's what I was able to get her to fess up. Enjoy! ~Shell

S: What is the first thing you purchased after becoming a published author?
Caisey: A book cover! ;) My first one was a favor from a sweet friend. (An awesomely talented friend, Emily Tippetts, who still does many of my covers).
S: If you could put a favorite line from GIRL in LOVE on a shirt, what would it read?
C: It’s life. It’s beautiful and messy and, more often than not, kind of scary.
S: How has Kylie's story affected you? Personally and professionally.
C: Oh wow. It would take a long time to answer this fully. But the short answer is personally it’s given me an opportunity to reflect on my own relationships. I’ve learned to chase my dream while following my heart. Professionally it’s shown me that no matter what I believed before, my characters are in charge when it comes to their stories.
S: Can you share with us a gift from a fan that really touched you?
C: Any time a reader shares their love for my books with me or recommends them to a friend, it’s a gift. One I cannot say thank you enough for.
S: Is there a genre you don't want to tackle and why?
C: Historical romance. Some people do it so well, but I don’t think I ever could.
S: Tell us about an embarrassing moment as Caisey Quinn, author...
C: Well, you see, I was discussing Keep Me Still with my precious friend Lauren Blakely. She offered to read and review it for me. Because she’s awesome. And precious as I mentioned. When I was editing KMS, I read a book by Daisy Whitney and there was this quote that I used at the beginning of the book about second chances.
A few weeks after KMS was released I learned that Lauren and Daisy Whitney are in fact one in the very same. I’d quoted her in my book without even realizing it! I felt like a complete idiot. Still do. But Lauren/Daisy was amused.
S: What author(s) inspired you to write?
C: This is a long list. Ridiculously long. But I can say that it was author Emily Tippetts that inspired and encouraged me to self publish my books.
S: Do you have a favorite pair of cowboy boots or hat?
C: I do! I think they’re Lucchese or Lone Wolf maybe? They were one of my first pairs of actual cowboy boots. They’re really broken in and I’ve had them for about fifteen years. I only wear them for yard work and stuff now, but they will always be my favorites.
S: Name three things you can't leave the house without?
C: •Phone
•Lip balm/chapstick (the tube kind, not the waxy stick kind)
    •My kiddo ;)
S: What can we look forward to next?
C: The Second Chance series is a darker more adult spinoff of the Kylie Ryans series. It’s a bit sexier and features some tortured souls with serious problems. Last Second Chance is the first one and is planned for late Spring/early Summer. Skylar and Corin, Mia, Steven, and Gretchen all have stories that I may or may not self-publish in the near future. I’ll also be continuing to write the YA Broken Heartland series with Elizabeth Lee. I have a few random standalones coming out this year that will likely surprise my readers. (And possibly make them wonder if I have multiple personality disorder).
S: Thank you SO much, Caisey. It's been great getting to know you a bit better. GIRL in LOVE exceeded all my expectations. I'm really going to miss Kylie and Trace. I see several re-reads in my future. (They are that addictive, folks!) And I seriously cannot wait for the spinoffs. Heck, I'm chomping at the bit for anything and everything penned by you.
You are an author rockstar.
C: Aww, thank you so much! And thank you for having me!! It is a scary thing ending a series and wondering if that’s the end! It means a lot when readers say they’re going to stick with me!
Well there ya go, my lovely groupies. Caisey really is a kick. And I had a lot of fun pulling this together. Don't miss the fabulous GIVEAWAY Caisey has set up for y'all. And please- add this to your list, grab it and place it at the top of your TBR pile...

HAPPY READING!!!

She's living her dream...

Kylie Ryans is the biggest thing to come out of Nashville since, well, since Trace Corbin. With a hit album and a powerful label behind her, she appears to be the girl who has it all.

But appearances can be deceiving.

Fresh out of rehab, Trace Corbin is ready to take on the world. Just not the girl he walked away from. Because if there's one thing he knows for certain, it's that the people you love are the ones who have the power to destroy you.

As their worlds collide, they'll have to make the ultimate choice. Follow their dreams, or give it all up for love.

They say love conquers all, but for Kylie and Trace, it just might wreck everything they've worked for.

Caisey Quinn lives in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, daughter, and other assorted animals. She is the bestselling author of the Kylie Ryans series as well as several New Adult Romance novels featuring country girls finding love in unexpected places.

ONE TINY LIE by K.A.Tucker Paperback Feature Tour

I am super SUPER excited to be able to be a part of this Feature Tour for ONE TINY LIE by K.A. Tucker.  A 2013 Top Read for me, this book blew me away....If you want to know how much, you can catch my review here.  But, now ONE TINY LIE is releasing in paperback and for those of you who love the feel of a book in your hand, then this is your chance...Scroll down and see my interview with the amazing heroine of this book, Livie, plus all the other important info needed.  ANNNND....make sure you enter the fabulous giveaway at the end....
Thanks for stopping by...
~Kat

Livie has always been the stable one of the two Cleary sisters, handling her parents' tragic death and Kacey's self-destructive phase with strength and maturity. But underneath that exterior is a little girl hanging onto the last words her father ever spoke to her. “Make me proud,” he had said. She promised she would...and she’s done her best over the past seven years with every choice, with every word, with every action.
Livie walks into Princeton with a solid plan, and she’s dead set on delivering on it: Rock her classes, set herself up for medical school, and meet a good, respectable guy that she’s going to someday marry. What isn’t part of her plan are Jell-O shots, a lovable, party animal roommate she can’t say ‘no’ to, and Ashton, the gorgeous captain of the men’s rowing team. Definitely him. He’s an arrogant ass who makes Livie’s usually non-existent temper flare and everything she doesn’t want in a guy. Worse, he’s best friends and roommates with Connor, who happens to fits Livie’s criteria perfectly. So why does she keep thinking about Ashton?
As Livie finds herself facing mediocre grades, career aspirations she no longer thinks she can handle, and feelings for Ashton that she shouldn’t have, she’s forced to let go of her last promise to her father and, with it, the only identity that she knows.

Kat: Good day everyone!! Welcome to the blog...Today we have the amazing Livie Cleary from the books Ten Tiny Breaths and One Tiny Lie...
I am very excited she has agreed to answer a few questions for us..So, lets get started...
Hi Livie and welcome...so, for those who haven’t met you yet, can you tell us a little about yourself?
Livie: I am THE Kacey Cleary’s younger, yet more mature sister, Olivia. Everyone calls me Livie. Except for Ashton. He calls me Irish.
Kat: *chuckles* Great intro...What type of music do you like to listen to? Favorite song at the moment?  Favorite band?
Livie: I like just about everything. Living with Storm for three years has got me hooked on classic rock though. I’m still not okay with it first thing in the morning. I guess old habits die hard for her.
Kat: I can only imagine how that would be in the morning. What do you do on the weekends?
Livie: Well, I *should* be busy doing school work, seeing as I’m at Princeton but my bad influence of a roommate, Reagan, has managed to introduce me to a whole new life that I’m not accustomed to: partying and boys. Both are as highly distracting as I anticipated them to be. I also volunteer at the Children’s Hospital in NYC on Saturdays. Dr. Stayner helped get me set up with this highly coveted spot. It’ll be great for my application to medical school after I’m finished my undergrad.
Kat: Well, one does need a healthy balance of work and PLAY, hehehehe!!! What is it like having Kacey as a sister?
Livie: I love my sister and I would never say anything bad about her but she can be a handful. Infuriating at times, even a thousand miles away.  But, I know she always has my best interests at heart. Maybe that’s why I always forgive her. Or maybe I’m just a sucker.
Kat: Awwww...Nothing like a sister bond.  What can you tell us about Dr. Stayner?
Livie: Dr. Stayner is… Dr. Stayner. How do you describe a therapist like him? You really can’t. I don’t know how he still has his license sometimes and yet the man is highly intuitive. It just takes an open mind and time to see it. He’s still bound to get himself into trouble with the State.
Kat: HA!! Yeah,Dr. Stayner has some amazing insight... What were your first thoughts of Ashton?
Livie: Probably the same thoughts as everyone else. What. An.  Ass. And I’m not talking about his physical attribute (though I could also talk about that quite easily.) I’ve never met someone as cocky as Ashton Henley.  It took me a long time to warm up to him but when I did… well, you saw what happened.
Kat:   Oh yes...We saw what happened *wink, wink* What would be your top two books to read? Why?
Livie:   Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables.  I love the lives depicted in both of these stories. I’m also a hopeless romantic (that’s probably why I helped Trent and Kacey reconnect, even after all that had transpired between them.)
Kat: Awesome classic books...Where is one place you would like to travel to?  Why?
Livie:   I’ve never been anywhere but Grand Rapids and Miami and the states in between so I’m open to anywhere.  I think I’d love Italy. Or France. Or Greece. Europe, in general. Or Asia. I really should get some travelling in.
Kat: Oh girl...you need to do some traveling...But definitely some great places on there.  Several on my to-visit list as well.  What is your favorite type of food?
Livie: Well, it’s DEFINITELY NOT cheesecake anymore… *sighs*  I’m easy, though I’ve found a new fondness for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
Kat: Can't go wrong with Bem & Jerry's ice cream, well any ice cream for that matter. Any regrets that you have?
Livie:  I’m supposed to live with no regrets, right? That’s what this thing called life is about, isn’t it?
Kat: True, but it is hard majority of the time...If you could impart any wisdom on the world, what would that be and why?
Livie:  Humans make mistakes and we’re all human. It’s always okay, as long as you learn from them.
Fantastic words of wisdom and Wow...those are some awesome answers and I want to say a special THANKS to Livie for answering my questions!!!
Don't forget to check out more about ONE TINY LIE and enter the awesome GIVEAWAY at the end...

BLOG TOUR: Exquisite Betrayal by A.M. Hargrove

Get ready for an AMAZING blog tour....
Exquisite Betrayal by A.M. Hargrove is a top read for me and I am so excited to be able to bring to you guys the playlist that goes along with this book.
Check out what A.M. Hargrove has to say about the playlist, listen to the songs, then make sure you scroll all the way to the end to enter the FABULOUS giveaway!!!!

As I was writing Exquisite Betrayal, I hopped on Twitter one day and noticed I had a new follower. It was a band called She Said Fire. Their name grabbed my attention so I followed the link to their website and took a listen to their music. Fate is a funny thing really. I’d been working on a scene between Fallon and Ryland Thomas, and it was one of those heart-wrenching scenes where blood is spilled (well, not quite, but you know what I mean). As I listened to all the tracks on She Said Fire’s Boom! EP, I absolutely fell in love with the song Better Ways. It was perfect for the scene I was writing and I knew I had to have the lyrics as the foreword for the book.

I hopped back to Twitter and sent She Said Fire a tweet along with a DM and got a quick reply. From there, Joshua Hawskley, the lead singer for the group, and I began exchanging emails.  He and the rest of the gang at SSF graciously agreed to allow me to use the song in my book. So not only does Better Ways appear in the foreword, but She Said Fire is also mentioned in the book, along with some of their other works. This band is AH-Mazing. They are a highly talented group of four—three hot guys and one gorgeous girl—and they play such a diverse sound that you can’t stop listening to them. My only problem is that I want MORE! If you want to learn more about them, you can stalk them on Facebook at Https://www.facebook.com/SheSaidFire

So, if you go to Spotify and check out the Exquisite Betrayal Playlist, you can’t help but notice that She Said Fire has a few songs featured on it, namely, Better Ways, Funhouse and Sleeping Through The Revolution.

*pssst… as part of the Exquisite Betrayal release giveaway, the She Said Fire Boom! EP Download will be included! So don’t forget to enter!

A male Romance Author… a convention in Vegas… a female book blogger… a goal to lose her virginity… what next? Find out when you mix all the above!

Fallon McKinley is headed to Vegas for the Wicked Wenches Romance Con and losing her virginity is only one of her goals. The other is to meet her favorite author of romance novels, R.T. Sinclair. What she doesn’t realize is that the sexy green-eyed god she rams into at the airport is the real R.T. When they keep running into each other, she’s shocked, but excited, because the attraction is irresistible.
Ryland Thomas Sinclair doesn’t want anyone to know his true identity. He’s the author that all women love, but everyone thinks he’s a female. He hides his persona behind the public face of his twin sister, keeping his own a secret. But after meeting the lovely Fallon, his intentions to avoid a relationship come to a screeching halt. She’s put an unwanted kink into his perfectly laid out plans. His unusual reaction surprises him because after a heart-shredding breakup a few years ago, he’s managed to avoid women at all costs.
Resisting Fallon becomes more difficult than he imagines. Soon things are spiraling out of control, until a major miscommunication has Fallon walking out of his home and his life. Will Ryland Thomas succeed in losing the woman he loves? Or can he win her back?

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window.  She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss and quit her job.  Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).
So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a YA/NA and Adult Romance writer. Her books include the following: Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge and Kissing Fire (The Edge Series); The Guardians of Vesturon series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent and Beginnings); Dark Waltz and Tragically Flawed.
Other than being in love with writing about being in love, she loves chocolate, ice cream and coffee and is positive they should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

 Absolutely AWESOME!!!

I gotta say, the first chapter in this book is amazeballs!! I was dying laughing and it hooked me instantly. I just knew I was going to love it.
I mean, a blogger convention in Vegas?? Oh yeah, it is going to be EPIC!!
Then add a one of those bloggers being a virgin?? OH YEAH...beyond PHENOMENAL!!!
But, it is not all about the convention and the heroines virginity.....A.M. Hargrove provided a great storyline with intriguing twists and shockers that kept me glued to those pages all the way through.
I was laughing, screaming, swooning, fanning myself, and cringing from so many awesome moments found in this novel. Exquisite Betrayal donned some awesome quotes, fabulous scenes and a relationship that rocks you to your core.
I hated seeing it end and its definitely...One of my favorite reads of the year...A DEFINITE MUST READ!!!!

I admit I’m a TV show-aholic! I DVR my shows and watch them in the mornings while I drink my nectar of the gods (coffee) and wake up. I’m not a morning person so I need at least an hour to get motivated. Here’s the line-up—and if anyone screws with my DVR settings life goes bad really fast in the Miller household! ;-)

Supernatural – On its 9th season and still going strong! I love the Winchester brothers and Cas and I still miss Bobby. *sniffles* Started watching because I love all things supernatural and 9 years ago there wasn’t a lot on in this genre to pick from on television.

The Vampire Diaries – Picked this show up mostly because I love vampires. The first year it was a little too teeny-related for me and I couldn’t decide if I liked it well enough to keep watching, but come the second season I fell for Damon and I’m still viewing. At times, I still wonder why I’m watching TVD though! LOL

The Originals – (new show) A spin off of The Vampire Diaries and I adored Klaus’ evil ways. This is its first season and at the moment, I love the grittier, edginess to it…something the The Vampire Diaries doesn’t have enough of in my opinion—but then again not everyone has my darker tastes.

Son’s of Anarchy – No, I don’t watch it for Jax Teller (aka Charlie Hunnam), but he is easy on the eyes. It’s one of the few shows I watch with my husband, as our tastes differ greatly. There’s nothing out there like this show on TV and if there is I’m not aware of it. The story line is fabulous and I never know what to expect from one episode to another.

American Horror Story – I love this sick and twisted show because…well, because it is sick and twisted! LOL

The Walking Dead – My sons and I watch this together. Kinda weird that we three bond over a show about zombies, but I love discussing the story with them.

The Tomorrow People – (new show) It’s a fantasy type show and I love the idea of people having super powers. I grew up on Batman and Saturday morning superhero cartoons, so it’s no big surprise I like it. It’s also one of the few shows I watch with my husband.

Arrow – Again, another superhero show. I watch this one with my sons and husband, but I’m honest with them that Oliver should be shirtless every episode and do at least 20 push-ups. A CEO should be able to get away with showing up to work and meetings shirtless, right?

Lost Girl – One of my favorite shows. She’s a kick-ass heroine and I love strong female characters. Plus she’s a succubus surrounded by a multitude of other paranormal creatures.

Reign – (new show) I love watching the History channel, so when this show started advertising I knew I had to watch it. I’m not sure where it’s going yet, since we already know the outcome of Mary, Queen of Scotland, but it’s holding my interest.

Game of Thrones – I adore Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. Daenerys is another fantastic strong heroine, who turned a bad situation into her triumph, and became the mother of dragons. My biggest complaint is that the seasons are too short!

As you can tell, I watch a lot of paranormal related shows. I’ve always had an affinity for the supernatural and will probably always gravitate to those before I do the tamer ones.

Empress’ delights, she disliked the jumbled way he made her feel. Confused one moment and aroused the next. “What is your name?”
“Call me mate.”
Her breathing died, then escalated. She forced a lame-ass sounding laugh past her lips. “Don’t get cocky. I’m not into leeches.”
“Don’t disqualify me from the running.” He sidled closer, aligning his body against hers once more, but maintaining space with his palms on the mausoleum on either side of her head. “Not when Gabriel and I haven’t had the gratification of making you come…yet.”
She gasped, her eyes rounding at his foregone conclusion. “Better men than you have tried.”
“None of them were your mates.”
“Wait! Mates? As in plural?” She flattened her hands against his chest to push him away, but forgot to add pressure. The hard contours of his body fascinated her more than was practical. “That’s…insane.” But gods the idea fascinated her. “Sirens don’t partner outside our race and we certainly don’t have more than one partner.”
Sameya didn’t realize she spoke the thought aloud until the vampyr thrust both his hands into her hair. After he had her anchored into position, he shifted closer, widening his stride to fit her pelvis between his legs. His hard-on nestled against her abdomen as he tilted her head back by her hair.
“No more insane than a vampyr mating a shifter.” His mouth landed on hers. He nibbled on her bottom lip, licked the corners and crease. Distracted by the exhilarating sensations, she was unprepared to counteract his move when he placed the pad of his thumb against her chin and tugged, parting her lips for his tongue to thrust inside.

Gracen is a hopeless daydreamer masquerading as a “normal” person in southern society.  When not writing, she’s a full-time basketball/football/guitar mom for her two sons and a devoted wife to her real-life hero-husband. She’s addicted to writing, paranormal romance novels, movies, Alabama football and coffee…addictions are not necessarily in order of priority. She is convinced coffee is nectar from the gods and blending coffee and writing together generates the perfect creative merger. Many of her creative worlds are spawned from coffee highs.
