I totally LOVED this book...
Ophelia London ceases to amaze me in her writing and Chalk Lines and Lipstick was just superb.
Completely drawn in to Maren and her situation, you follow her along as she is investigating a story that everyone else deems as dead.
But, her "spidey sense" gives to too much going on and this leads for a phenomenal read.
Laced with humor and definitely some steamy romantic scenes, I couldn't put this book down.
I was on the edge of my seat eager to see the mystery unfold dying to see if my theories were anything close to the final reveal...
Let me say, I didn't see everything that was going to happen and Ophelia definitely took me on a wild crazy ride...
BTW...Get ready ladies...wait til you meet Patrick...*swoons*
I highly recommend you pick this one up....a fabulous read!!

Paula: Welcome to Day 10 of the #CatchAKiller Blog Tour, where Special Agent McGhee tries to make sense of everything he’s learned so far. Nothing in the content is directly spoilery for the book, but the info presented here might get you thinking about who's lying and who's telling the truth. Can you follow the clues and sniff out a killer? CASE NOTES

LEAD INVESTIGATOR: McGhee, James, Special Agent

SECONDARY INVESTIGATOR: Gonzalez, Alex, Special Agent

TIMELINE OF ALLEGED EVENTS:

12/3: Preston DeWitt goes to political luncheon.

Afterward goes camping with Max Cantrell.

12/4: Preston leaves beach “around nineish” according to Max.

No one else present at beach can verify Preston was ever there.

12/5: Claudia DeWitt realizes her son hasn’t returned home, authorities notified.

THOUGHTS ON INTERVIEWS:

The senator was very calm and cooperative during questioning, but seemed a little out-of-touch with his son, unable to give dates for some of the major pieces of medical history. Didn’t seem very close to Preston. Didn’t seem excessively worried about his son’s welfare. Then again, perhaps compartmentalizing is how he copes with stress and/or he might be putting on an act for his wife who is clearly distraught.

Jonas Jacobsen seemed at ease—even bored—during questioning. He probably isn’t the most credible

of witnesses, but he did admit to illegal drug and alcohol use, so I’m inclined to believe him when he said he didn’t see Preston at the beach. I’m less inclined to believe he customized a surfboard for a kid he doesn’t like and didn’t demand payment upfront. Further investigation into Jonas and Preston’s finances and interactions is needed.

Max Cantrell seemed nervous throughout the interview, lack of eye contact, fidgeting. At the same time, he also didn’t seem overly concerned about what might have happened to Preston. Max knows more than he’s letting on, I’m just not sure if he’s culpable of anything yet.

Parvati Amos seemed also too at ease during questioning. She paused just the right amount of time before answering, fumbled over her words just enough for her answers to feel honest. Behaved exactly the way an innocent girl called questioned about the disappearance of a friend would act. So then why do I feel like she’s hiding something?
