 Book Info-

By- Allana Kephart & Melissa Simmons
Genre- YA/ Fairy Tale/ Fantasy
Expected Publication Date- ?

Blurb-
Beautiful, selfish and spoiled are the three words most commonly used to describe Princess Eliza. Common people are expendable in her world, there only to serve her needs. Betrothed to the most handsome prince in her land and adored by her father, Eliza had little thought for others or their feelings. An unkind word directed at the wrong person brings down a curse on Eliza, marring the perfection of her physical beauty making it so her outside now reflects what is within her. Horrified by her own reflection and tired of the whispers of everyone around her, Eliza flees the safety of her father’s castle, seeking out the solitude of the outlying forests.

Greysen James spends his days hunting and gathering in the forests that fall between the kingdoms. In his small no-man’s land, he owes no one fealty and he likes it that way. His life is all about keeping himself and his younger sister, Cornelia alive and fed. When Eliza comes stumbling into his path, he has two choices: let her flounder on and drag every royal guard searching for her through his forest or take her in and teach her to survive on her own. Neither option is appealing to him but once his sister meets the prickly princess, Cornelia won’t let him leave Eliza out in the cold.

Greysen finds himself at odds with the princess almost immediately; he can’t stomach her entitled attitude. As far as he can tell, Eliza has no grasp on the true realities of life outside the castle and she isn’t overly fond of Greyson’s seeming indifference to her. With Cornelia urging them to coexist they’re finally forced into a grudging respect for one another.

Can Greysen help Eliza change her ways before it’s too late? Or will she learn that her beauty really was always just skin deep?

RELEASE DAY BLAST: Kestrel by A.M. Hargrove

Kestrel (A Hart Brothers Novel)
**Though is part of the Hart Brothers Series, This is a Stand Alone Novel
**Not intended for readers under the age of 18 due to its mature content and strong language.

Two lives with horrific pasts. One chance meeting that changed them both forever.

“One look at her and I want to run. Frizzy hair, thick glasses, mom jeans, and ruffles up to her neck. Who the hell wears shit like that? What decade is she living in? My mother doesn’t even dress like that!”

Raised by a monster, Kestrel Hart somehow survived. Now that the monster is dead, he’s trying to move on, to pull himself together. Struggling with issues no one can imagine, he moves away from his family, from the brother who loves him and the sister-in-law who supports and understands him the best.

Charleston, South Carolina is his new home. And he has a purpose. He’s opening up a new division of his brother’s corporation. But a surprise awaits him. Her name is Carter Drayton.

Carter’s past is also a painful one. She is dealing with the tragic death of her family. She’s healing in the only way she knows how.

Carter needs love. Kestrel craves human contact. Neither of them recognizes what’s right before their eyes. Will they see it before it’s too late?

As we walk back to his place he says something to me that I’m not sure how to take.
“Carter, I was so wrong about you.”
“How’s that?”
“Remember the day we met and you asked me if you weren’t good enough and I said you weren’t bad enough?”
“Yeah, I remember.”
“I don’t want you to be bad.” He stops and turns me to face him. “I need good in my life. I need an angel, a human angel, like you. I’m sick of all the bad.” Then he kisses me. We’re in the middle of King Street and people are everywhere, having to move around the obstacle we’ve created. But Kestrel doesn’t give a damn. He ends it as quickly as he started it and I’m walking with him, stunned by his comment.
“Kestrel?”
“Yeah?”
“Will you tell me your story someday?”
“Yeah. But it may be a while.”
“Okay.” I wrap my arm around his waist as we walk. “Do me a favor though.”
“What is it?”
“Don’t hurt me. I’m sort of fragile and I don’t think I can deal with that.”
“Same here, Carter.”
“Do me another favor, please.”
“Sure.”
“Whatever you do, don’t let me fall in love with you.”
He stops walking. “Why’s that?”
“Because someone always loses in love.”

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase. Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head. Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window. She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss, and quit her job. Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author. Her books include the following: Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge and Kissing Fire (The Edge Series); The Guardians of Vesturon Series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent, and Beginnings); Dark Waltz, Death Waltz, Tragically Flawed (Tragic 1), Tragic Desires (Tragic 2), Exquisite Betrayal, Dirty Nights; and lastly Freeing Her, Freeing Him, and Kestrel—all part of the Hart Brothers Series.

Other than being in love with writing about love, she loves chocolate, ice cream, and coffee and is positive they should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

BLOG TOUR: Liars Inc by Paula Stokes

For fans of Gone Girl, I Hunt Killers, and TV's How to Get Away with Murder.

Max Cantrell has never been a big fan of the truth, so when the opportunity arises to sell forged permission slips and cover stories to his classmates, it sounds like a good way to make a little money and liven up a boring senior year. With the help of his friends Preston and Parvati, Max starts Liars, Inc. Suddenly everybody needs something and the cash starts pouring in. Who knew lying could be so lucrative?

When Preston wants his own cover story to go visit a girl he met online, Max doesn’t think twice about hooking him up. Until Preston never comes home. Then the evidence starts to pile up—terrifying clues that lead the cops to Preston’s body. Terrifying clues that point to Max as the murderer.

Can Max find the real killer before he goes to prison for a crime he didn’t commit? In a story that Kirkus Reviews called "Captivating to the very end," Paula Stokes starts with one single white lie and weaves a twisted tale that will have readers guessing until the explosive final chapters.

For more information, check out THE OFFICIAL LIARS, INC. WEBSITE.

FRI MARCH 27. FBI CASE NOTES

Paula: Welcome to Day 10 of the #CatchAKiller Blog Tour, where Special Agent McGhee tries to make sense of everything he’s learned so far. Nothing in the content is directly spoilery for the book, but the info presented here might get you thinking about who's lying and who's telling the truth. Can you follow the clues and sniff out a killer? Make your guess and then read LIARS, INC. to see if you’re right!

CASE CA4153-228
CASE NOTES
LEAD INVESTIGATOR: McGhee, James, Special Agent
SECONDARY INVESTIGATOR: Gonzalez, Alex, Special Agent

TIMELINE OF ALLEGED EVENTS:

12/3: Preston DeWitt goes to political luncheon.
Afterward goes camping with Max Cantrell.

12/4: Preston leaves beach “around nineish” according to Max.
No one else present at beach can verify Preston was ever there.

12/5: Claudia DeWitt realizes her son hasn’t returned home, authorities notified.

THOUGHTS ON INTERVIEWS:

The senator was very calm and cooperative during questioning, but seemed a little out-of-touch with his son, unable to give dates for some of the major pieces of medical history. Didn’t seem very close to Preston. Didn’t seem excessively worried about his son’s welfare. Then again, perhaps compartmentalizing is how he copes with stress and/or he might be putting on an act for his wife who is clearly distraught.

Jonas Jacobsen seemed at ease—even bored—during questioning. He probably isn’t the most credible
of witnesses, but he did admit to illegal drug and alcohol use, so I’m inclined to believe him when he said he didn’t see Preston at the beach. I’m less inclined to believe he customized a surfboard for a kid he doesn’t like and didn’t demand payment upfront. Further investigation into Jonas and Preston’s finances and interactions is needed.

Max Cantrell seemed nervous throughout the interview, lack of eye contact, fidgeting. At the same time, he also didn’t seem overly concerned about what might have happened to Preston. Max knows more than he’s letting on, I’m just not sure if he’s culpable of anything yet.

Parvati Amos seemed also too at ease during questioning. She paused just the right amount of time before answering, fumbled over her words just enough for her answers to feel honest. Behaved exactly the way an innocent girl called questioned about the disappearance of a friend would act. So then why do I feel like she’s hiding something?

Paula: So as you can see, Agents McGhee and Gonzalez have their hands full with these sketchy suspects, and there are more shadowy characters in the book who might or might not be involved in the crime. Thanks so much for checking out the LIARS, INC. #CatchAKiller Blog Tour. I hope you enjoyed getting a closer look at some of the book’s characters. Best of luck on your investigative journey as you try to figure out who killed Preston!
