Holy stars! With a Twist was... simply beautiful, funny, sweet, and fully satisfying, with enough drama to really pack a punch. These characters stole my heart and held me willingly captive. I devoured and savored every word. This story was such a joy to read and I just can't wait for the next. West and Lily swept me off my feet. I can't stop thinking about them. Apart they are interesting, fun, and endearing. Together... they are ELECTRIC.
Those were my initial thoughts. And from there I couldn't find the words to express how much I loved WITH A TWIST. I was too blissed out.
It's been days since I finished, and still its yumminess is swirling around my brain leaving me hungover and incoherent. Each time I attempt to gather my thoughts I'm overcome with THE FEELS.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORY. THIS COUPLE. This amazing group of friends.
There wasn't a moment that lagged. Not a moment that didn't pull at my heartstrings. Not one moment that didn't have me hanging on edge, tightly clutching the kindle, flying through the pages, hoping, wishing, and... *takes a deep breath* begging and pleading that West and Lily end up together. That their love was meant to be. That we would get our HEA.
Staci does a brilliant job of keeping us on our toes (pardon the pun). While WaT has its light and romantic moments, it is not without some darkness and a lot of soul searching.
These characters are complex, their lives complicated, their relationships sometimes awkwardly intertwined. And through it all friendship, love, and honesty are the foundations that refuse to crumble and fall.
This is absolutely my favorite read of the year. I really can't recommend it enough.
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom; she has three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife; even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.
From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
