BLOG TOUR: Ember by Jessica Sorensen

What if you knew when someone was going to die?

For seventeen-year-old Ember, life is death. With a simple touch, she knows when someone will die. It’s her curse and the reason she secludes herself from the world. The only person who knows her secret is her best friend Raven.

Then she meets Asher Morgan. He’s gorgeous, mysterious, and is the only person Ember can't sense death from. So when he pushes into her life, she doesn’t mind.

But when unexplained deaths start to haunt her town, Ember starts questioning why she can’t sense Asher's death and what he may be hiding.

Jessica Sorensen lives with her husband and three kids in the snowy mountains of Wyoming, where she spends most of her time reading, writing, and hanging out with her family.

Jessica Sorensen has been on my to read list for a little while and I have been very eager to get one of her books.  So, along comes the Ember tour and I just knew I had to participate. So, first thank you to SupaGurl for hosting this tour...
Now, on to the fabulous book of Ember
I was highly intrigued by the synopsis of Ember.  Here is a young girl cursed by knowing how someone was going to die just by a single touch, I mean, WOW...forging a life of solitude only seems like the most logical thing to do.
But, Ember is such a strong brave woman.  With everything she has encountered in her life and I mean she has been dealt some serious situations that would knock many people down...Ember rises above it all and really allows you, the reader, to revel in her strength.  Yes, it may be on wobbly legs, but that is the type of character I love to read about.
Ember isn't the only character that you are drawn to in this book either.  We meet Asher Morgan, a new mysterious guy that has moved in to town at the very same time another new guy shows up...Cameron.  With each of these guys playing certain parts to attract the attention of Ember, our story of suspense, intrigue, action, and darkness begins.  You are transported through the pages of Ember following the series of events that ultimately unfold with you sitting on the edge of your seat with a OMG...it was this person the whole time??
When I finished Ember, I immediately went to see if I could purchase book 2....sadly, it is not out yet and I am now waiting on pins and needles to find out more about this unique and mystifying world that Jessica has created in Ember.
So, if you haven't looked in to Jessica Sorensen yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do.  With a well written, flowing storyline that grabs you from page one, you won't be disappointed.
