Hell's Phoenix by Gracen Miller

Going to Hell was supposed to save Madison, but knowing she’s dead because of his failure leaves Nix with only one thing to live for. Revenge. With Micah’s help he learns to use his Messianic power. Anything for Mads has become his mantra, even if it means killing innocents to gather the power he needs to succeed. A tsunami he unleashes on a Gulf Coast city is stopped with magical interference, and Nix is more than surprised to feel Madison in the opposing magic. Can he and Micah set a trap to lure her out?

Pandora’s Box…once you open it, there’s no turning back!

Madison has done the unthinkable, opened Pandora’s Box to save Nix from Hell. And failed. She’s willing to risk her own life to rescue Nix, but she worries about the welfare of her accomplice in the mission and leaving her son behind. Following up on a lead, she’s ambushed by Nix and Micah. Shocked and hurt to discover Nix has become a willing participant of Hell, she’s more certain than ever she won’t escape the demonic fate her husband outlined for her. While in Hell, she discovers denying the emergence of her succubus is futile, which means getting Nix out of Hell after embracing her inner demon just became a very real dilemma…

Shelley's Review

It's been a few hours since I finished reading my copy of Hell's Phoenix and I still haven't been able to wrap my head around this mind blowing, hella sexy rollcoaster ride Gracen has thrust upon me. I am so emotionally invested in these characters, to see them endure heartbreak, humiliation, any type of pain and misery puts me in a state of unrest. I'll tell you right now...I got very little rest while reading...and contemplating this little beaut.
I was shocked, thrilled and amazed to the extent of my heart nearly exploding out of my chest and my grey eyes having lost the ability to produce more tears of joy and pain. At times I was left distract. I chanted, "How could Gracen do that to us?" More than a few times. Ha!
If you're not familiar with Gracen's style and personality...well, let me tell just say...SHE HAS NO PROBLEM PUTTING US ALL THROUGH HELL! But she does it with skill and finesse and whole lot of smolder. Hell, it's hotter than a 5 alarm fire...ok, maybe hotter than Hell itself.
HP shows us a side of Nix Birmingham we thought we'd never see...lost, cold, dark and downright evil...and he's never been hotter. Micah is well, Micah. The sexiest demon I've come across yet. Very little he does surprises me, he is a King of Hell after all. But, I think some of his actions will surprise most everyone this time around. Zen gets more intriguing. Amos continues to grow and amaze everyone around him. And Madison? She gets more kick ass by the minute.
Just about the time you settle in and get comfy with the situation, Gracen flips the switch and sends you on another wild ride. Hell's Phoenix gives us a more intimate look at familiar friends and foes. It also introduces us to fascinating new characters. One which had me immediately enthralled.
As up and down as Madison and Nix's world is, Gracen weaves through it so seamlessly you never see what's coming in the end. I guarantee it.
I was completely entranced by the storytelling. It's the stuff from which dark fairy tales and urban legends spring forth. It's epic. At times poetic. And always, always brilliant. Hell's Phoenix soars out of the ashes and off the charts.

Kathryn's Review
WOW!! Another fantastic book by Gracen Miller that has BLOWN me away!!
From start to finish, Hell's Phoenix demands that you devour each and every page. The emotions that you feel for these characters will be a rollercoaster ride and when you are finished you will feel like you have just run a marathon.
Hell's Phoenix leaves you panting from all the dynamic action, steamy sex, twisted emotions, and of course, some "HOLY CRAP...did that just happen!" moments. Being able to learn so much more about Nix and his journey through hell and finding out if he comes through it or not, and if he is even sane at the end of this book is gut-wrenching. Not only are we learning about Nix, we get to see more of Micah and how the King of Hell actually rules his kingdom! And of course, Mads is right there in front handling it all, taking on the situation at hand, and being the heroine that she is! Want to know more about Zen, well guess what?, LOTS more info about him too and we get to see just how powerful he can be!!
Gracen Miller weaves a tale of wicked naughtiness with gut-wrenching decisions that leaves the reader gasping for air as the final page is turned. Be ready to sit down and not get up because YOU WILL NOT be able to put this book down for anything!!
A DEFINITE MUST READ!!

  6. Looks interesting, I'll have to add book 1 to my TBR list! I like that you guys all post on one review, it's neat to see the different opinions. A lot of blogs with multiple owners read different things and post their own reviews for the separate books they read. Great idea, guys!
