Author Info
I find it hard to sum up my life in a paragraph, but I'll try. Reading has always been a passion for me and writing is as instinctive as breathing. Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. Flutter, The Discover Series was my debut release and since then I have written a contemporary romance, The Edge of Darkness. The only thing I do better than writing? Making beautiful, sassy and independent, girls. My daughter's will always be my greatest accomplishment, my biggest fans and my every inspiration. I live, breath and would die for them!

I've been married to one of the greatest men in my life for 7 years and I love him more than chocolate (you know shit just got real , Justin Timberlake and Friday's. Without him my website would be a mess and I would probably being paying more taxes than I should be. He is a jack of many trades and this is just my opinion but I like to think besides my daughters, I'm his second biggest accomplishment. (Does anyone else hear a horn tooting?)

I was born in Denver, Colorado -but I will always think of sunny Arizona as my home. I don't have a big family, but I'm close with my sister, brother & my mom. My mom is my hero, my inspiration, and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing person to be raised by. She has supported me throughout this crazy adventure and I'm lucky to have her on my side!

6 things you should know about me:
1. I'm a tornado with lipstick! Translation: I'm very girly, but I can get down and dirty with the best of them.
2. I adore the color pink!
3. I love things that sparkle (including vampires!)
4. I like even numbers (hence 6 things about me, not 5)
5. I'm loyal to a fault but I like to see the good in everybody. Don't mistake my kindness for weakness though because my bark is not always bigger than my bite :))
6. I don't like calling readers 'fans'. When it come down to it, I am all YOUR biggest fan! MWAH!

I will never be able to thank every reader, every blogger or every author who has helped me in one or a million ways since I published but I will try every chance I get. Y'all are the reason I am here and every comment, every message, every review makes me feel like I have a reason to be. So to the moon and back, THANK YOU! Okay, so this was a little longer than a paragraph. My stalker links all in one super easy spot.

BLOG TOUR: The Curse Keepers by Denise Grover Swank

The wall between our world and that of vengeful spirits has protected humanity for more than 400 years. It’s about to come crashing down.

Ellie Lancaster has lived her whole life by the site of the mysterious Lost Colony of Roanoke, the Virginia settlement that vanished without a trace around 1590. Only the descendants of the two men who banished the spirits of an enemy tribe from the material realm know what really happened to the colony. Ellie is one of those descendants—a Curse Keeper. Her father took pains to teach her what he knew of the curse and the responsibilities of its guardians. He taught her that if the two Curse Keepers ever meet, the curse will be lifted, the gate will open, and the raging Native American spirits will be unleashed to seek their revenge.
Despite her father’s seriousness, Ellie has always taken the legend for a harmless fairy tale. Until she meets the darkly handsome, but downright infuriating, Collin Dailey and realizes everything she was told is true. For when they meet, it’s like the air is sucked from the room. Collin’s presence is electrifying… and it’s not just attraction Ellie feels, but the inexorable pull toward her destiny. The prophecy is real, and now Ellie and Collin must battle supernatural forces and their loathing—and passion—for each other to set things right.
The Curse Keepers are all that stand between the world and its destruction.

As he pushed down the cup of my bra, I leaned my head back and tried to remember what time I was supposed to be at the New Moon the next day. No! Don’t think about that right now. But there was no denying that Dwight's lack of skills weren’t limited to the neck up.
Maybe he just needed a little incentive. I unbuckled his belt and unbuttoned his pants while he turned his attention to my other breast. Slipping my hand into his pants, I searched for his erection.
And found nothing.
Well, that’s not entirely right. I found something, but I had to search. A lot.
I sat up and cocked my head. “Um… I need to go to the bathroom for a second.” I climbed off his lap and pulled up my bra then I held up a finger. “I’ll be right back in a second.” As I moved toward the bathroom, trying not to run, I snatched my cell phone off the counter and closed myself in the lavatory. Then I dialed my best friend Claire.
She answered on the first ring. “So how did it go?”
I sat on the toilet and ran a hand over my hair. “Um... it’s still going,” I whispered.
“It’s still going? Then what are you doing calling me?”
“Well… it’s just that…”
“What?”
How did I put this? “I can’t find his penis.”
Claire paused for half a second. “How drunk are you?”
I hunched over my knees, trying to gauge my level of intoxication. “I’ve had a couple of drinks, but not enough to stop me from finding an important part of male anatomy. I mean, how hard can it be?”
“Obviously, not hard enough.”
Giggles erupted, and I clapped a hand over my mouth. After a couple of seconds, I settled down. “This is serious, Claire.”
Claire burst into laughter. “Are you sure he’s not a tranny?”
“I thought trannies were guys dressing as girls, not the other way around.” I took a deep breath to settle my giggles. “And no, he’s got a part, just not an interested one.” Great, I couldn’t even get a boring guy excited about me. “What am I going to do?”
“What do you want to do?”
Covering my eyes with my hand, I sighed. “I don’t know.”
I heard Claire’s exasperated exhale. “Ellie, why are you with this guy? Why are you doing this to yourself?”
Outraged, I sat up straight and hissed, “How was I supposed to know he couldn’t get it up?”
“Anyone could have—no that’s too easy,” Claire muttered. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. Why are you wasting your time with this guy when you can barely stand him?”
“That’s not true.”
“Please.”
I had to concede that she might have a point. “I can’t just send him away.”
“Why not?”
“It will be too obvious.”
“Well, then I suggest you stock up on Viagra.”
I groaned. “You’re no help.”
“Yes, I am. You just don’t like what I have to say.”
 “Ugh! I have to go.”
“You might as well go since you won’t be coming—“
I hung up on her before she could finish. And she was wrong. There was a reason I kept a vibrator in my bedside drawer.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Denise Grover Swank was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived in the area until she was nineteen. Then she became a nomadic gypsy, living in five cities, four states and ten houses over the course of ten years before she moved back to her roots. She speaks English and smattering of Spanish and Chinese which she learned through an intensive Nick Jr. immersion period.  Her hobbies include witty Facebook comments (in own her mind) and dancing in her kitchen with her children. (Quite badly if you believe her offspring.)  Hidden talents include the gift of justification and the ability to drink massive amounts of caffeine and still fall asleep within two minutes. Her lack of the sense of smell allows her to perform many unspeakable tasks.  She has six children and hasn’t lost her sanity. Or so she leads you to believe.

Well, I have to say...I had no idea what to expect when I received The Curse Keepers.  So, with my mind wide open, I dug in and.... BAM.... I was swept away by the amazing writing and world building that Ms. Swank provided.
As I met Ellie, I was completely captivated from the very beginning in which we find out so much about her present day life and the life she is trying to attain.  Lo and behold, her ancestry makes its way to the now and lands right in her lap.  I kept wondering why she was so hesitant to accept what was happening, but as the story progresses, those little tidbits of information are given and understanding comes about.
I absolutely loved Ellie.  She is a refreshing character that you instantly like.  She is honest, snarky, witty, entertaining, compassionate, and caring.  All of these awesome attributes are wrapped up in a feisty strong woman that you root for and hope for the best in her life.
And of course meeting Collin brings all these explosive qualities to the surface, making their encounters fun, frenzied, and freakin electrifying with the sexual tension these two exude.  And boy were there encounters HOOOTTTTTT!!!!!! Man, I had to fan myself many times when Collin walked in to the scene and when we got to the STEAMY parts...HOLY FREAKIN HOTNESS!!! MmmmHmmm....*whew* ok...moving on...
Their relationship is not all of what this incredible novel emanates.  With an extraordinary story line that seduces you with a enchanting tale of curses and historical legends, you strap yourself in knowing that this is going to be a wild ride.  I was biting my nails with anticipation, eagerly awaiting the mysteries to be uncovered, and left with shock and awe as the ending dragged me through twists and turns that left my head spinning.
Thoroughly enamored with this thrilling, gut-wrenching tale, The Curse Keepers is a book you will definitely want to read.  I am tapping my fingers on my desk now...waiting...patiently...for book number two because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!!

We thought we were alone. We were never more wrong.
Before the fallout, scientists had worked on creating an anti-radiation vaccine (ARV). The first two attempts failed, but despite the incomplete tests and results, the government approved and distributed the third serum to the masses in an effort to aid those who had no shelter.
It worked, keeping those who remained on the topside alive, but it also altered and mutated them. This new and infectious threat had completely outnumbered us. Now, we not only had to rebuild our planet. We would have to fight for it.

RELEASE DAY BLAST: The Thrill of It by Lauren Blakely

A new adult story of Love. Sex. Addiction. Blackmail. And Power...
Some say love can be an addiction. Others say it's the thing that makes life worth living. Let me tell you everything I know about love...Love isn't patient, love isn't kind. Love is a game, a chase. A thrill. Love is wild and war-like, and every man and woman must fight for themselves. At least that's how it was for me. A high-priced virgin call girl by the time I started college, I was addicted to love and to sex. Even though I've never had either. I controlled love, played it, and held the world in the palm of my hands. Then I fell down from those highs, and I'm being blackmailed for all my mistakes, forced to keep secrets from everyone, except the only guy I don't regret.
Trey...
With all the other women, I knew what they were. They were temporary. They were pills, they were bottles, they took away all the pain, and numbed the awful memories that wore down my ragged, wasted heart. Until I met Harley. She's the only girl I ever missed when she walked away. But now she's back in my life, every day, and there are no guarantees for us, especially since I don't know how to tell her my secrets. What happened to my family. All I know is she's the closest I've ever come to something real, and I want to feel every second of it.
How can you love with no regrets when regret is all you know?

Lauren Blakely writes sexy contemporary romance novels with heat, heart, and humor, and her books have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and iBooks bestseller lists. Like the heroine in FAR TOO TEMPTING, she thinks life should be filled with family, laughter, and the kind of love that love songs promise. Lauren lives in California with her husband, children, and dogs. She loves hearing from readers! Her novels include Caught Up In Us, Pretending He's Mine, Playing With Her Heart, Trophy Husband, and Far Too Tempting. On November 21, she'll release the edgy new adult novel THE THRILL OF IT. She also writes for young adults under the name Daisy Whitney.

The very unofficial author biography.

I attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received a degree in Screen Arts and Cultures (a fancy way of saying I was forced to watch a lot of old movies) with a subconcentration in Screenwriting. OH WOW!!!
Can I just say that the world that Aimee Carter created in PAWN is so unique and intriguing that I am in total AWE over what I just read.

Dystopian novels have really exploded lately and sometimes you feel like you can have a good idea of what is going to happen in them.  At least for me I do.
But, the first few chapters of PAWN completely had me going OMG over and over.
This new world in which we meet Kitty in is very disturbing and quite frightening when you dig in deep and find its secrets.  My stomach was in knots worrying about what was going to happen to Kitty.  I was nervous as to whether she would lose her love, Benjy, as well as never see him again.
I should have known it wouldn't go the way I was expecting.  Aimee Carter turned the story on me abruptly and I was like...HOLY CRAP...did that just happen???
Yep, a good slap across the face showed me I was headed in a new direction and this journey that Kitty was on was deceitful and gut-wrenching.

Thrown to the wolves, you struggle with Kitty to find out who you can trust, what decisions do you make to insure your own life, and question everything...
I was totally amazed at every aspect of this book.  Brilliantly written with well developed characters, you are drawn to the tale immediately.  With explosive twists and turns, you are kept on the edge of your seat, dying to find out what happens.  Every guess you may have as to how this book may go is completely thrown out the window at every turn you take and I absolutely love being captivated until the very end...
I CANNOT wait until the next book comes out..
Definitely a must read!!!

The bell rang, signaling school was out for the weekend, and I quickly put away my supplies before heading to the sink to wash the clay residue from my hands. When I was satisfied they were clean enough, I grabbed my things and made the trip to my locker.
I twirled my combination and quickly got the books I needed for assignments and headed toward the girl’s restroom. Glancing into the mirror, I looked at my woefully straight hair and heaved a sigh. Shelly was constantly badgering me to try and do something more with it.
Shelly!
“Oh crap!” I groaned loudly in dismay. I’d forgotten she was gone and I needed to ride the bus home. I spun around and ran back through the door, bolting down the long hallway that led to the bus gates.
Suddenly, there was a blur of motion in front of me, and I collide with something hard and solid. I fell backward, and my book bag fell from my shoulder, hitting the floor beside me and scattering the contents everywhere. I scrambled about in a rush, trying to gather my things.
“Why don’t you watch where you’re going?” I said, mostly under my breath. I didn’t even look to see who the intruder was, but I was completely irritated.
“Hey now. You ran into me,” a soft, sultry, male voice returned.
I froze. My gaze slowly moved to the feet in front of me and continued to travel up—over the black laced-up boots covered by tattered Levis, past the black belt with the silver buckle, to the ever-present, tightly stretched t-shirt with a leather jacket slung casually over the shoulder. I noticed the pulsating veins in his neck, and I paused at the soft, wide-set lips before looking straight into the piercing blue-eyed stare of Vance Mangum.
I swallowed hard, and my entire vocabulary was suddenly reduced to only one word. “Sorry.” It came out like a whisper, and I wondered if he even heard it.
Vance slowly squatted down to my level with a slight smirk on his lips.
“Where were you going in such a hurry?” he asked, lifting one of my books and handing it to me.
I threw a glance toward the glass door just in time to see the last of the buses leave the lot.
“I was trying to catch the bus,” I explained, feeling more than a bit dumb. “I forgot my friend Shelly, had to leave early today.”
“Ah,” was all he said. I was surprised when he continued to help me gather my things.
He handed me my last book and stood, holding a hand in front of me. I was shocked by the gesture, but I took it, feeling sparks shoot up my arm at the contact as he pulled me to my feet.
“I can give you a ride,” he offered, letting go of my hand, and I felt a little sad at the loss of it.
I couldn’t speak. Vance Mangum had offered me a ride home. What should I say? I must have stood there looking bewildered because he spoke again.
“Of course, if you’re afraid of motorcycles . . . ,” He let the sentence trail off, almost like he was accusing me of being scared.
“No. Not at all,” I replied with a bravado I didn’t actually feel. I raised my chin a notch, determined not to let him see how nervous he made me. “I’d be happy to accept a ride.”
“Great.” He smiled widely, and I almost choked.
I suddenly realized I’d never seen him smile before, and it was devastating to my girlish heart. I’d never seen anything so beautiful—perfectly straight, white teeth, framed in by those great lips and masculine dimples which suddenly appeared in his cheeks.
The guy should be a model, I thought to myself. He’d make millions.

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.
It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.
Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.
When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.
Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline!

Lacey Weatherford knows how to write some awesome characters. She blows me away with how much I am so drawn to them in every book I have read by her.
She definitely creates a world that you can feel you are a part of and that is a true sign of a talented writer...
In, The Trouble with Spells, I was immediately captivated by Vance and Portia.  They are such a sweet couple following their hearts in their budding romance.
But, this story is more than just romance.  We see the battle of good versus evil and the struggles to make the right decisions.  Set around the coming of age of a girl in to her witch powers and growing beyond what anyone could believe, this tale weaves a mysterious path of twists and turns keeping you on your toes awaiting the ending.
Highly entertaining and geared for the young adult crowd, this book was an easy fast read for me and I definitely recommend you pick it up....
I can't wait to pick up the next book in this series... :D
