On Dublin Street Blog Tour

For Adult 18+ Readers

TSK TSK WHAT TO READ
BLOG TOUR EXCLUSIVE

Kathryn: Hello, everyone! We're here in the posh Black Bar of theinfamous TigerLily hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland. Yep, we've goneinternational!

Shelley: Can you believe it??? It's A-MAZ-ING! *sinks into chair*
K: Anyway...We've crossed the pond...Why are we here? To bring you a very, VERY, special guest. We were lucky enough to be chosen to interview a rising star in the literary world for a big blogtour. So we jumped at the chance and hopped on the first available flight. Wecouldn't do this one via the airwaves. Oh no, we wanted to get up close andpersonal with this one. Tosay we're chuffed is...well, putting it mildly. We are ecstatic and a wee bitbeside ourselves. Hopefully, Shell will behave and we can get you guys theinside scoop on...wait for it...wait for it...the one, the only, uber cool, uber sexy, utterly charming, and super elusive Braden Carmichael.
Shelley: That's right, we've got him all to ourselves for a few sweetmoments, and we plan to give him the TSK TSK treatment. You know what thatmeans...the tough questions. The nitty-gritty. The down and dirty. The shift inyour seat-we wanna see into your soul-make you squirm and question why youagreed to this, kind of inquiries. The ones the rest of y'all are too afraid toask.
K: *raises eyebrows*
Okaaay ...and here he is.

*Braden saunters in and settles into a plush velvet chair*

K: Hello, Braden. I'm Kathryn. *extends her hand*
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to indulge us and ourreaders.
*Braden takes her hand in his and shakes firmly, but gently. Kathryn's cheeksflush*

S: Hi, Braden! I'm Shelley! *giggles and waves*
K: We'll just get right to the q&a, so you can get on with your day.
*Braden smiles and nods once*
*A handsome server approaches, in a kilt no less*
Waiter: Our house cocktail; Lily's New Knickers and complimentary tapas. Enjoy.

*Shelley snatches up the nearest glass and a tapa*
S: Sweet!
*handsome server smiles, nods once and backs away gracefully. Kathryn chucklesas she watches hot man in kilt make his exit*
K: So Braden, have you worn or do you like to wear kilts?

Braden: I have worn a kilt on a number of special occasions. I don’t mind wearing akilt. I’m a proud Scot and a kilt is iconic.
S: Smexy! *Kathryn rolls eyes and shakes her head*
K: Are you part of a Clan?
Braden: My father told me our family has roots in Clan Carmichael in Lanarkshirewhich is in southern Scotland. Clan Carmichael has a rich history in Scotland.
K: We'd love to hear more about that, but...on to the hard questions. Whenyou made the deal with Joss were you actually hoping it would turn in to more?
*Braden raises an eyebrow at the question suggesting he thinks that’s toopersonal a question*
*Shelley snickers as Kathryn quickly looks down, shuffling her notes inorder to break his gaze*
K: Tell us something no one else knows...

Braden: You tell me something no one else knows.
*the girls shoot each other a half amused look and shift in their seats*
S: Alrighty then, next question...

K: Top 5 songs on your iPod right now....
Braden: Lonely Boy by The Black Keys
When You Were Young  by The Killers
Closer by Kings of Leon
The Pretender by Foo Fighters
Make it Wit Chu by Queens of the Stone Age

K: Hmmm. Interesting mix.
S: Eclectic, but cool. *nods approvingly*

K: What is one of your happiest, most memorable moments with Joss?
*Grins wickedly* There’s quite a few. And her name is Jocelyn.
S: *coughs to hide a laugh* What is the sexiest thing about Jocelyn?
Braden: Everything.
S: *smirks* Sweet, but not really an answer.
*Braden smirks back*

K: What is your favorite movie?
Braden: The Big Lebowksi
*the girls chortle*

S: If you could take Jocelyn anywhere in the world, where would that be?
Braden: I’d take her wherever she wanted to go.
*the girls reply collectively* Nice.
K: What is your favorite place to go in Edinburgh??
Braden: Portobello Beach. I used to take Ellie there when she was a wee girl.
S: Speaking of...what was most frightening; almost losing Jocelyn or almostlosing Ellie?
K: Geez, harsh, much?
*Shelley tilts her head and shrugs*

*Braden treats them to another unimpressed arching of the eyebrow*
Kathryn: *whispers loudly to Shelley* I told you!!!
Shelley: I'm beginning to think that eyebrow thing is an intimidationtactic...or perhaps we have him...smithering.
*Kathryn snorts*

S: What made you decide to move to Dublin Street?
Braden: It was either there or my flat, and the flat on Dublin Street feels likehome to Jocelyn. She deserves to have that. It wasn’t a difficult decisionreally.
K: Are you most comfortable dressed up or down? (WE LOVE BOTH!)
Braden: Dressed down.
K: What are your hopes for the future?
Braden: Jocelyn, kids, that they and all my family be healthy and happy, and that Ihave continued success and happiness in my career.
S: If Jocelyn asked you to pick up and leave Scotland, would you?
Braden: Thankfully that’s not an issue.
S: Do you hum?
Braden: Do I hum? I don’t know. I’ve never noticed. Ask Jocelyn.
S: Well, we just might. *winks*
K: Do you have a favorite Scottish ballad or limerick!
Braden: Robert Burns ‘Tam o’ Shanter’
K: Care to share a bit?
Braden: Here's my favorite passage:

"But here my Muse her wing maun cour; Sic flights are far beyond her pow'r; Tosing how Nannie lap and flang, (A souple jade she was, and strang), And how Tamstood, like ane bewitch'd, And thought his very een enrich'd; Even Satanglowr'd, and fidg'd fu' fain, And hotch'd and blew wi' might and main; Tillfirst ae caper, syne anither, Tam tint his reason ' thegither, And roars out,"Weel done, Cutty-sark!" And in an instant all was dark: And scarcelyhad he Maggie rallied, When out the hellish legion sallied."

*Shelley closes her eyes, lost in Braden's dreamy Scottish baroque. Kathrynelbows her to continue*
S: Ahem *clears throat to gather her senses* That was wooonderful.
We'll have a translation for our  non- Scottish readers...

K: Now, if Braden isn't ready to turn heel and run, we've got a few rapidfire questions for him.
S: Still game, Mr. Carmichael? *waggles eyebrows*

*Braden snorts* (why is it sexy when he does it???)
Braden: Hit me with it.
K: Ok then here we go, and please, feel free to explain your answers.*winks*

Ice cream: cone or cup?
Cone.
Gifts: spontaneous or well thought out?
Both. *smiles as if he’s thinking about something naughty*
Slow or fast? (That means whatever YOU think it means)
*Braden laughs* Depends on my mood.
Early bird or Night owl?
A little of both.
Sneak attack or Slow seduction?
Whatever gets the job done right. *Braden flashes another cheeky grin*
Candlelit restaurant or candlelit takeout?
Candlelit takeout. The bed is always closer afterwards.
Slow dance or a little bump and grind?
Both can be very nice.
Sweet or salty?
Sweet.
Adult toys: Yay or nay?
Yay for some, nay for others.
Give or receive? A massage, silly.
Give.
Jocelyn's hair: up or down?
Down. My eyes only.
S: Still possessive I see.
*Braden raises his eyebrow again*
Shower or bath?
*He grins again, a far off look in his eyes* Shower.
*the girls share a knowing grin*
Drive or fly?
Drive.
Big celebration or quiet time alone?
Quiet time alone.
Walk in the country or city stroll?
Both. Although I do more of the latter.
*Braden checks his watch and throws us a sly grin*
Braden: Does that cover it, ladies? I better not keep Jocelyn waiting any longer thannecessary. She gets crabbit when she's hungry. *winks*

*Shelley snorts*
K: Of course, Braden. It has been a delight speaking with you. Thank you foryour candid and playful answers. We hope you've enjoyed yourself.
S: We certainly did. And you can bet I'll be asking Jocelyn for her responsesto a few of those cryptic answers of yours.

Braden: It was my pleasure. *Flashing his brilliant smile and with a quick bow ofhis head, stands and glides elegantly out of the bar*
*Shelley downs the rest of her cocktail as Kathryn flops back in her seat*
S: Wow, that was...
K: Outstanding!
S: Most definitely!

K: We sure had a great time with Braden and we hope all of you enjoyed theinterview as well.
S: Now let's hit that dance floor!

About
On Dublin Street

Four years ago, Jocelyn Butler left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Edinburgh. Burying the grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without any real attachments has worked well for her so far but when Joss moves into a fantastic apartment on Dublin Street, her carefully guarded world is shaken to its core by her new roommate's sexy older brother.

Braden Carmichael is a man who always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Jocelyn in his bed. Knowing how skittish Joss is concerning any kind of relationship, Braden proposes a sexual arrangement that should satisfy the intense attraction between them without it developing into anything 'more'. An intrigued Jocelyn agrees, completely unprepared for the Scotsman and his single-minded determination to strip the stubborn young woman bare... to the very soul.

Samantha Young

Sam is a 26 year old Scottish book addict and she graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2009. She studied ancient and medieval history at uni, and it was in her first year there, in the middle of a classical literature lecture, that she first came up with the idea for The Tale of Lunarmorte. She's been writing since as long as she can remember, and she has a particular interest in the paranormal, fantasy and dystopian genres.

She loves pulling pieces of historical fact (or mythology) and twisting it to fit her stories, and she is more than thankful that her degree is being put to good use in her writing.

She began self-publishing in 2011 and now writes full time.  When she's not writing, she's usually thinking about writing or thinking about thinking about writing.
