BLOG TOUR: Delta Project: Rescue by Jessica Jaster

D005 has been a part of a secret government program known as the Delta Project her entire life. She has been genetically modified to be stronger, faster, smarter and to heal faster. Trained in hand-to-hand combat, weaponry and battle tactics, she has been worked to physical and mental exhaustion every day of her life. Raised without love or care of any kind, she has no idea what it means to be happy – to be free. And now she has run away.
After leaving the Hartman Ranch in order to keep her new friends out of danger, Weston embarks on a mission to save her brother and the other Deltas with the help of someone from her past. While at it, she will learn more about the Delta Project itself and what it is about the Deltas that makes them special.
During her journey, she will be put in difficult situations. Will she be able to remain the caring, fun-loving Weston she became? Or will she revert to the cold, distant D005 of her past?
And will she ever see Cormac or any of the others ever again?

Jessica Jaster lives in Iowa with her husband andher (currently) one year old and two year old, as well as their cat, Pandora.
Jessica graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree inAnthropology.  Yes, she realizes that there is a big difference betweenAnthropology and writing young adult novels.  She actually tried for anEnglish major (well actually, it was Criminal Justice, then English, thenAnthropology), but the classes she had to take just did not fly with her. Although, since Anthropology is pretty much just the study of humans and humanculture, it could tie in with her novels in some way.
She has always had an over-active imagination and has been making stories up inher head for herself for as long as she can remember and finally decided tostart writing them down (when she is not busy chasing the two little onesaround anyway) and sharing them with anyone interested. Most ideas she has sofar for her novels are for young adults - some fantasy, some science fictionand some normal contemporary story-lines.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to get back in to Delta Project and find out what was going on with Weston. After we ended in Delta Project: Hide, I was angry that I had to wait to find out what was going to happen...I mean, come on!! This girl has been put through the ringer and now she is going to go through even more??? ARGH!!!
So, I was on pins and needles waiting for Ms. Jaster to get book two finished...and then... YES!!! It was done and I was able to dive right back in and see where Weston was headed.
Well, suffice  to say, this is book 2 and I am going to do the very best I can not to spoil anything from book 1 as well as book 2.
So, I have met back up with Weston and I have to say that I am a little perturbed with her.  I really wish she would have told Mac the truth about herself.  I mean, I know she is trying to protect them.  I know she has trust issues...but, I do believe things would have been different.
But, hey, if that would have happened, we wouldn't have the extraordinary tale laid out in front of us called Delta Project: Rescue.
Within this book, we really get to know Weston so much more. Seeing her really come in to her own and truly gain strength as that individual.  On top of that, she learns about who she is, how she came to be who she is, and what the whole Delta Project was built for.
It wasn't until about half way in to the book, that I felt like the story took off and completely blew me away.  It was packed full of action, allowing us to meet Weston's brother, Delta 006, meeting back up with the Hartman gang and finally thinking that things were right on track when......
BAM!!!! Ms. Jaster throws a HUGE twist in to the last few pages and guess what??? Yep..I am left with a cliffhanger again...AGAIN!!!! AHHHHH!!!! Where is book 3???? I NEED TO KNOW!!!
I have loved both books dearly!! You fall in to them so easily, that before you know it, it is over...and of course you are grieving because the next book isn't going to get here fast enough....*sighs*
So, Get this book...series...Delta Project: Rescue is an action-packed, heart-warming, tear jerking, hanging on the edge of your seat EXPLOSIVE story that you do not want to miss out on!!
