I am abso-freakin-lutely thrilled to have the utterly charming, sweet, classy- and sassy, Angelle Prejean here with me. And if you'd like, you can also check out my review of SEVEN DAY FIANCE here.

Don't miss the truly AMAZING GIVEAWAY at the end of our post. And... before we go ANY further. THANK YOU for being here and helping us celebrate another wonderful tale spun by the very gifted (and super awesome) Rachel Harris.

Tsk Tsk's Shell: Let me first say, "Welcome"! I am so thrilled you stopped by to chat. You look stunning, by the way. <You guys should see what she's wearing. To die for!>
Angelle (Angie)*looks at comfy jeans, fitted blouse, and cowboy boots.* Thanks!
S: I will warn you, we like to get to the heart of the matter around here, but let's start ya off easy...
What is your favorite thing about Magnolia Springs?

A: Definitely the people. Sweet, good-hearted, welcoming people who took in an awkward outsider like me. The Robicheaux family is the best example of that.
S: How difficult was it for you to walk away from your family and your hometown?
A: So hard. Mama and Daddy were my world for so long, and the people were my family. It was terrifying to go from living on a street with all my members to being completely on my own. But it was also exhilarating. I could be whoever I wanted to be. Reinvent myself. I didn’t have to be Little Red or Awkward Angie. I could go after I wanted, become a fire fighter, and date whomever I wanted. Not that I had that many takers on that last one…
S: *shakes head* <the woman is still blind to the effect she has on the opposite sex, but anyway...>
You longed for passion in your relationship with Brady. Did you ever imagine you could feel the FIRE you do with Cane?

A: I used to imagine what it would be like. Fantasize about experiencing the stuff I read about. But NEVER did it come anywhere close to the reality of Cane. The way he looks at me, the way he makes me feel…you just can’t capture that in words. And living it through the characters of my favorite book is so not the same thing as being on the receiving end of that man’s toe-tingling kisses. It actually scared the crap out of me at first.
S: And this is what makes the rest of us swoon. <Angie's one lucky girl> Now that you and Colby are friends, what do you like to do together?
A: Colby is a hoot and a half. We normally veg out in front of the television or go to the movies. Well, I should say we used to do those things. Lately it’s been wedding mania. Her and Jason’s wedding is approaching like a freight train. Who knew there were so many details to plan!
S: I can only imagine. *shouts* Watch out bridezillas! Just kidding, Colby!
Name something about Cane that makes you weak in the knees...

A: Everything about that man makes me weak in the knees….but if I had to pick just ONE thing, I’d have to say it’s the way he calls me darlin’.
S: Awww...
What is your favorite meal?

A: No offense to my girl’s cooking, because Colby makes a mean crawfish bisque, but I’d have to go with my mama’s boudin balls. And of course, fresh from the pot cracklins!
S: I've got to say hearing about all that fabulous country canjun food had me salivating. I love pork rinds but cracklins? Yumm-o! *wipes drool from her lips*
What was the first thing that made you take notice of Cane?

A: The first time I saw him at Grits and Stuff, he took my breath away. He was hot, hot, as we say back home, and I knew he was too much man for me. And then he flashed those lethal dimples at me. Those things should be illegal, I tell you. I knew right then that I wouldn’t survive one round with him and I swore I’d never let on that I wasn’t immune. Of course, that was before my big old mouth got me in a pickle.
S: Oh those dimples! *sighs*
Do you still think Cane is a bad boy?

A: I think Cane is a man who is the best of both worlds. He looks the part of the bad boy, he certainly talks like one, and the way that man acts, he can charm the pants off a nun. But that’s just the packaging. The REAL Cane Robicheaux, the guy that he hides from most people, is amazing. Loyal, smart, honest, dependable…and the hottest man I’ve ever seen in my life. I used to think he was dangerous to my heart. I was right in that I fell for him completely, but it was worth it.
S: What at wonderful description. Can you say dream man? And fall you did, girl. But who could blame you? So, now that you really know the man,
how do you feel about those tattoos?

A: As my girl Sherry would say, “Holy crap monkeys.” When I first came to town, they scared me. Then, I’d fantasize about licking them. Now, it’s not just a fantasy anymore. ;)
S: There's that wildcat Cane's always talking about. I think I just blushed- and got a little turned on. *shifts in her chair*
What's one thing Cane does that drives you wild? And one that drives you batty?
A: Wild in a good way? Singing low and sexy in my ear. Batty would have to be his teasing. Definitely not mean teasing, it’s playful—he and his sisters tease each other like crazy, and they love each other just as hard. It’s a part of their family culture. It’s just so different from mine. I’m always like five minutes too late on a retort or witty come back, but one of these days, I’m gonna get him good. Watch me J
S: Who doesn't love a man who sings sweet and low? The teasing is so endearing, and definitely shows you're part of the family. Speaking of singing...Do you have a favorite song?
A: Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
S: How fitting. And sweet.
Do you and Cane have a song?
A: If I answer that totally honestly, it may give away an important part of our story. How about a song that is also special to us, Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.” It was playing during a particularly favorite moment for us.
S: *wags eyebrows* And a favorite moment for your fans.
I have a couple of questions from readers for you. I apologize in advance for their um, morbid curiosities.
<Not really girls. He he.>
OK. Sandra asks, "She is so clumsy, has she ever truly hurt herself, mortal embarrassment doesn't count".
A: *blushes* Yeah, my clumsiness is definitely shown in blazing glory, huh? Honestly, thank the good Lord, no, I haven’t truly hurt myself. Can someone knock on wood for me??
S: *grins and knocks on wooden chair* I think it's adorable and makes you irresistible. For the record, I'm a bit clumsy myself. Maliha would like to know; "Just how red can Cane make her blush?"
<Maliha, SHE'S BLUSHING NOW!!!>

A: *blushes deeper* Um…uh…*clears throat* is it warm in here??
S: *chuckles* Let's round that line of questioning up with... WHEN was the last time Cane made you blush- and why?
A: Let’s just say that one would assume prolonged exposure would lessen the effect that man has on me. It hasn’t. In fact sometimes the things he says, the way he looks at me when he says them, makes my head fuzzy, my pulse wonky, and my legs cooked noodles. And my cheeks burn as red as the fire truck I ride at work.
S: You are just too darned cute.
What is the most exciting thing you've done with Cane? Or place you've been?

A: You mean other than the barn? *slaps a hand over her mouth as her eyes grow wide* Did I just say that? See what that man has done to me? Actually, that’s probably more Sherry’s influence ;)
S: Woohoo, girl! Oh, yes, you did! Perhaps a bit of both?
Do you have a favorite place to "get away from it all"?

A: The barn back home was always my place. When my best friend lived in the stalls, I’d go there at the end of a bad day, feed him his carrots, and stare into his dark, soulful eyes as I complained how badly the world sucked. Later in high school and college, the barn and the loft in particular became my safe place to get away from it all. Now, thanks to Cane, it has even more special memories for me.
S: The love of not one, but two soulful creatures in one very special place. That's priceless, Angie. Both what you needed at very different times. I think my heart swelled more. *clears lump in her throat*
Most southern belles seem to have their weddings planned as little girls. Did you have a dream wedding? Has that changed since Cane came along?

A: Actually, it was an assignment junior year of high school. Part of our religion class at my Catholic school. We had to plan our weddings, and I had every detail figured out. The invitations, the dresses, even the complete song list the DJ would play during the reception! But just like I kinda outgrew a certain musical tape (*grins sheepishly*), that binder filled with plans is a bit outdated. I can’t see Cane wanting to dance to Richard Marx or The Pretenders for our first dance.
S: Oh my. What a fun assignment. I had no idea they had anything that structured for you. And no, I can't see Cane dancing to either- but then again, what wouldn't that man do for you? So... What's it REALLY like having Sherry as a roommate? We can keep a secret. You can tell us the truth. ;)
A: That girl…she’s a mess. She’s wacky and says whatever she thinks. Secrets are impossible to keep; you can’t stay angry, even if you want to. She loves the idea of love, chases it like crazy, and wants everyone around her in it, too. Not just people, either. She tried hooking up her dog, too. That girl is a nut, but I wouldn’t change a thing about her.
S: I imagine life with her would be a real kick. You can't help but love her- the whole family really. Well, Angie, that wraps up my interrogation. Thank you so very much for being here today. You are a DOLL, and this has been an absolute pleasure.
A: Thank YOU for having me! This was fun.J
S: I hope you all enjoyed our conversation as much as I did. Angelle was such a good sport. She surprised me a bit with how forthcoming she was, given her humble and reserved nature. Cane and Magnolia Springs has definitely brought out a stronger, braver, more confident Angelle. I couldn't be happier or more thrilled for her.
I just can't wait for everyone to read their amazing love story. It's going to melt your hearts and curl your toes. With any luck, we'll get to see more of this wildly romantic pair as the series continues. Are you listening, Rachel? *wink wink*

Thanks again for joining us. Happy reading, y'all! XOXO~ Shell

Angelle Prejean is in a pickle. Her family is expecting her to come home with a fiancé—a fiancé who doesn’t exist. Well, he exists, but he definitely has no idea Angelle told her mama they were engaged. Tattooed, muscled, and hotter than sin, Cane can reduce Angelle to a hot mess with one look—and leave her heart a mess if she falls for him. But when she ends up winning Cane at a charity bachelor auction, she knows just how to solve her fiancé problem.

Cane Robicheaux is no one’s prince. He doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t fall in love. When sweet, sultry-voiced Angelle propositions him, he hopes their little game can finally get her out of his head. He doesn’t expect her to break through all his barriers. But even as Angelle burrows deeper into his heart, he knows once their seven days are up, so is their ruse.

Rachel Harris grew up in New Orleans, where she watched soap operas with her grandmother and stayed up late sneak reading her mama’s favorite romance novels. Now a Cajun cowgirl living in Houston, she still stays up way too late reading her favorite romances, only now, she can do so openly. She firmly believes life’s problems can be solved with a hot, powdered-sugar-coated beignet or a thick slice of king cake, and that screaming at strangers for cheap, plastic beads is acceptable behavior in certain situations.
When not typing furiously or flipping pages in an enthralling romance, she homeschools her two beautiful girls and watches reality television with her amazing husband. Taste The Heat is her adult romance debut. She’s the author of MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY and A TALE OF TWO CENTURIES. She loves hearing from readers! Find her at www.RachelHarrisWrites.com.
