For Adult 18+ audiences
Book Description:
Jared Hartley is happy. He has a
starring role in a popular West End musical, great friends, adoring
fans and his own flat in Central London. A relationship is not
something he has ever really wanted. Making big plans for the future
is not in his nature – Jared is content with his single status and
enjoying all the benefits of that lifestyle.
He doesn’t even
realise something is missing in his life.
Until he meets
Fenix.
Fenix Bergman has a dream – to perform on Broadway.
When he gets offered the lead role in Poison – a new musical based
in London, he accepts, immediately recognising the huge potential of
the show.
Fenix thinks he has his life completely
figured out – he will move to London, help Poison become the new
West End hit and bide his time until Broadway comes knocking on his
door. He has never wished for anything else but proving to himself
and the world that he is a performer worthy of the biggest theatre
stage.
Until he meets Jared.
Jared and Fenix’s lives
collide and they fill each other’s missing pieces. Neither of them
expects to feel so much, so fast for the other.
Neither of
them expects to need someone so badly when love hasn’t even been in
their plans.
But when Fenix’s star becomes too bright for
London, will the dream he’s chased all his life ruin the dream he’s
holding in his hands?
Will he survive getting everything he’s
ever wanted?
Will Jared?

The idea
for Dance was born in a single day when a lot of things happened almost at once
– I went to a West End musical, saw the cover photo and listened to Fall Out
Boy’s ‘Save Rock and Roll’ album for the first time. That album is the biggest
musical inspiration for the book. I listened to it the whole time while writing
and imagined ‘Poison’ as a Fall Out Boy inspired musical.
‘The
Phoenix’ is Fenix’s song. It fits him so well! That last scene in the musical,
the one from the cover shot, I imagined it with ‘My songs know what you did in
the dark’ playing in the background. And there were a few days when I couldn’t
listen to ‘Just One Yesterday’ without imagining Jared heartbroken and alone.
Shortly
after I finished writing Dance, I went to see Fall Out Boy live and it was such
an amazing experience. I felt their songs were already such a huge part of me,
of my characters, of the story, that it felt different than every other live
show I’ve seen.
I also
listened to Fall Out Boy’s ‘Infinity On High’ a lot. I rediscovered that album
while writing Dance. I hadn’t listened to it in ages and I remembered how much
I used to love it. It was like rereading my favourite book and discovering some
things I’ve missed the first time around.
I did
listen to other music besides Fall Out Boy while writing. I have a new band
crush, and lead singer crush, in the face of New Politics and their lead singer
David Boyd. They are awesome! And David... God, the man is wild! They were
supporting Fall Out Boy on their tour and I saw them live, too, and let me tell
you – I’d pay just to see them next time! They sound incredible and David is a
natural entertainer.
For the
quieter moments in the book, I felt like I needed calmer music, which is not
usually my style. I listened to a lot of Lorde, Ed Sheeran and Imagine Dragons,
as well as BBC Radio One Live Lounge albums.

Hi, my name is Teodora and I live in
London with my husband Ted and my son Jason. I've been writing ever
since I can remember, but it became my full time job in 2010 when I
decided that everything else I've tried bores me to death and I have
to do what I've always wanted to do, but never had the guts to fully
embrace. I've been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and
an interior designer among another things, but as soon as the novelty
of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing.
Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help
a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write
for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It's the only time
that I'm truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten
minutes at a time - my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When
I'm procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and
eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True
Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every
Wii game by a six year old.
Well, this is a first for me.
I love and
adore Teodora Kostova's writing and literally can't wait for the next thing she
is going to publish.
So, when I found out it was M/M, I was a little scared.
Not because of her talent..but becuase this will be my first time reading
it.
Now, as you start Dance, you immediately meet Fenix. I absolutely love
the name and he is such a sensational character. He draws you in to his life;
feeling his passions and desires. He is full of life and ambition...you
instantly feel the pull to root for everything he does.
But, then, in walks
Jared and we get to hear all about him from Fenix. And you just know that it is
going to get HOT!!!
And let me tell you..it gets SCORCHING
HOT!!!
Thankfully Dance is told in dualing POVs, so we get to be inside both
Fenix and Jared's heads.
So, as these two meet we get to experience
everything. You literally are able to feel the attraction oozing off the
pages.
I mean...HOT DAYUM!!!
It is a romance that is ignited quickly and
explodes in to so much more.
You are riding high with them...enjoying all
their sizzling interludes...*fans self*
And the...BAM...not everything can
stay perfect...Ultimately life comes crashing in and Fenix and Jared make some
hard decisions...
I was so angry at the choices made. I understood, yet I
just did not agree...
My heart broke and all I can remember is the ache in my
chest, patiently waiting...hoping....for life to change for these two...
Did
I get my HEA??
Well, I am not going to tell ya..
You will need to read
this book to discover the amazing, beautiful love story found in these pages.
*wink, wink*
